I've said it before and I will say it again. We have had some brilliant foreigners who have played for the jersey! We also have had players from the UK who have been a huge disappointment.

Kelly just signed a new deal as a number 2 at Rangers. I suspect an opening will arise for the number 1 jersey and salary attached, and I will rule out Robbie arriving and seizing that at the risk of being called snobby. Robbie was not happy to be 2nd fiddle behind Butland.
How will he feel about being third choice? Can't see it. Think the lad has chosen to build a career through minutes on the pitch rather than waiting in line, and will get sorted out quickly with a club at a decent level.

John, I would have neither. I can't see why we wouldn't have an 18/19 year old who we would be grooming to be our eventual number 1. Send him on loan to one of the clubs we have an association with which means we can bring him back at any time. Can't remember the last time we played our 3rd keeper, so don't see the benefit in paying McCrorie or Clark's salary to do nothing.
So even a couple of young lads competing to be number 1 in 3 years time is a better use of money imo. Just don't ask me who they would be. ?

Best to have an older no3 as they won't get any game time. The 18 year old keeps should be out on loan ideally for me.
