The Barron love in really annoys me, he is a headless chicken with no quality, a squad player to make up numbers at best. If this is who some people are pinning their hopes on, then it's a long, hard trek ahead.

Barton's a great we player with potential, he's only 23, boy will only improve. Ferguson is the better player, but has 3 years or so on Barron.

John 1 goal & no assists in 45 games for Bologna this season. Barron 37 games & 2 assists for us. I'm no Barron fan, but £10+ million (closer to £15 mil) is not worth it. If he was 6/7 million then maybe. Barron is younger & improved last season.

With Ferguson he's more of a statement signing, best mf in Serie A 2 years ago and very highly rated, linked with Juve, Roma, Napoli and if we get him ots laying down a marker.
He'll be our own Calum McGregor.
Whether he sits deep or plays as an 8 or even a false 10, he can donit all.
For me, I'd sit him in a mf 2 or as a 6 in a 3.
He's easily best mf in country if we get him.
