Of the modern era, Messi is the greatest football player to grace a pitch. No debate for me. Ronaldo is out in 2nd on his own by a good bit, but through athleticism & conditioning. Natural footballing ability & technicality. No-one comes within striking distance of getting near Messi's level.

Way I see it as the greatest player. Who can do with a football that no other player can do. Some may think strikers with goals, maybe great keepers, but for me it's Ronaldinho. No player has come close to his ability with a football.

Ronaldinho is the most naturally gifted player there's ever been. His skill set was unrivalled, could do any trick you like and score every type of goal, and he always had a smile on his face when he played, he just loved the game.

Loved R9 and I watched Ronaldinho every time I could.
What a joy to watch, and always played with a smile on his face. He could pass the ball with his back better than some of our players. ?
I miss football from years ago where you could actually tackle as well.
