I noticed on one of the discussions today Fork mentioned the tin man. I loved watching the tin man and it was about that time I started going to the games. Would I be correct in saying that when he got the ball the fans would shout what direction he had to run.

Tricky to play against, no one could predict where he was going next, including him|.

Loved Big Ted, fantastic, charismatic player that didn't have a clue what he was doing, but he was brilliant at it as no one else did either. ?

I remember going to Ibrox with my Aberdeen supporting mates (loved the company and the drinks). So, sitting in Dons end, Ted hit a screamer which hit the junction of bar and post. I leapt up to cheer a goal (been sitting on my hands all game and we lost 3-0). I had to be surrounded by my mates for the rest of the game.
I got outside to have to run through a cordon of Gers fans. I shouted I'm one of you, and, surprisingly, they let me through, possibly in shock. My mates laughed at it all night, and we still remember it. Ted was erratic but had those odd moments of brilliance.

Yes I loved Big Ted 'Tin Man' McMinn ? He didn't know what he was doing at times, so God knows who the opposition felt. ??? We got him from Queen of the South. I remember us beating Dumbarton down at Boghead 4-2 in a Scottish Cup game and McMinn scored that day and was superb, even though the playing surface was terrible. ?
