Am I missing something here with the Anthony Gordon 70m bid from barca. Now only my opinion. I've watched him on tv for a good few years. Descent footballer don't get me wrong but a 70m footballer in my eyes, not a chance and to follow that up as Barcelona class not a chance.
Am I missing something thought initially over inflated epl prices but then thought it's Barcelona that's put the bid in. What's every1s thoughts including edds.

I think he has the raw talent to be a superstar there, Davie. The game is different, and Gordon might just be the player they were looking for, I mind linear going there and a fantastic Scottish player in Steve Archibald, both fabulous players. Archibald definitely in the top 4 Scottish striker of all time, imho.

He'll probably score 30/35 goals a season in that Barca team with the way Flick plays and the pace he's got. But, I agree, football is bonkers now.

I like him and think he is already a real talent. Think he will go to Bayern if he has any sense. Is he worth £70m, well know, but no footballer is worth the price clubs pay for them.

Davie, Gordon is top imo. The best player in that Newcastle side by a distance. He will start most, if not every, game for England at the World Cup as well. Bayern were in for him first, and Barca have swooped for him and given Newcastle what they're after. He'll be class over in Spain and worth the money in today's market.

Disagree about Gordon being best player by some distance. Think Bruno G is comfortably Newcastle's best player and has been since he signed.

Toon fans aren't all that upset losing him. Has tons of potential tho, maybe just had an up and down season.

He's got pace to burn and is very direct and aggressive when going for and in the press. I think he will do ok over there, but I don't think he's in top dozen wide attackers in world football.
