Cheers, Rab. Just my opinion pal. As you say, he missed too many big chances and yes the one at Ross County did cost us that season. To win the league, the title, we needed better and I believe we have that now.

Think his biggest problem was no one else was contributing either, so his misses stood out more. If we had scoring midfielders or more from our wingers, it would have taken focus off him.

Fourlads, what made the Ross County one so bad was,
a) he hit it out the stadium from about 8yrds out!
b) he thought it was funny!
Regarding Shankland, he offers far more in his all round game than Dessers.
Just a pity it's taken us all this time to finally sign him, given the fact he's been under our noses the whole time and scoring against us year in year out.

I rated and liked big CD9 ?, and he had a superb attitude and a better goal scoring record for Rangers than some would care to believe. ? I won't say a bad word about the big fella, and every manager that's worked with him says his attitude is up there as the best in any other player they've worked with. ? ??

Correct, Zikos, it was embarrassing. We got rid of him because he couldn't link up play or play the press. A more frustrating player you will never see. Wish him well but glad to see the back of him.

Relax, guys, it's only an opinion. imo, Dessers wasn't good enough for us. He couldn't link up play or play the press. The sitters he missed were embarrassing at times, and the one at Ross County cost us the league.
Obviously, the club thought that too, or he wouldn't have been moved on. If you have a different opinion to that, then that's fine. Dessers was an enigma indeed, and each of you are entitled to your own opinions of him.

I liked Dessers and he done some great stuff. When he was poor, he was really poor. What did we pay for him? Was it 4.5m? At only 21, and after taking time to settle in a new country, I think Chermiti could be the real deal.
Some of his play and goals is what 10m quid gets you. Just my opinion. Shankland brings something else entirely.

Going by that train of thought. Every goal that we lost was the fault of the keeper. That must have cost us the league.
Every defender who played minutes. It's their job to defend goals. That also must have cost us the league.
