Thankfully the season is done, been a slog. New manager, new owners, some new players didn't go as we hoped!
Martin sacked, and in came Rohl after months of Gerrard speculation. I for one was happy with the appointment as I knew lots of SW fans who liked him.
Started well got us back into contention but ultimately we imploded when it mattered after the split. For me some of this is on the manager, but also on the players and the dressing room.
I think it's right he deserves the preseason and a full transfer window albeit needs to get off to a good start. As much as I loved Tav, him leaving gives us a bit of clean slate from that situation also.
As far as I can see we have about 36 players either here perm, on loan in, or on a loan out. (Sure will have missed some) My opinion on the movements needed, presuming he sticks with 433 which he may well change from.
Loans out: Djiga, Cornelius, Meghoma, Aarons, Olsen to leave. Would like to keep Moore for another season if we can.
OOC: Tavernier, Davies.
Sell: Butland (£1m last year of contract), Raskin (£10m - maybe more? ), Bajrami (£3m), Cifuentes (£0.5m), Danilo (£2m), Miokvsi (£3m), Cortes (£3m), Nsalia (£1m), Sterling (£1m last year of contract), Antman (£4m).
In: On basis we want a 25/26 man squad then would need new GK, 2xDR, 2xDC, MC, AM, winger and a striker.
If possible would be good to add a few Scots if we can but need players with drive and passion rather than nationality.

Need more than one cm imo. I'd sell
Diomande and replace with a goal scoring 8, and sell Raskin and replace with a 6 who can dictate play. All our cms are too similar and do the same thing. We need diff profiles. Agree with most of the rest of your post.

I agree, Wishy, also, but I think we have too many other positions to fill that we need to keep some players. Will take a few windows.

Thorough assessment, Bee, I agree on all. McCausland and Rice will go, by looks of it, too. Would like an experienced CB and ST to be brought in.

I agree that our current mids are too similar. ? We absolutely need a no.6, Elliot Watt, and hopefully Dan Neil and Lewis Ferguson. I would be happy with these 3. ? ??

Having calmed down since the Tav Rohl stuff, I'm now ready to fully back our manager. Needs to hit ground running though, or it should be a quicker sacking than Martin, as he's had a fair bit of time with most of the players now.

We absolutely do need more goals from our wingers and midfielders. ? I definitely think Findlay Curtis has the attributes to hit double figures for us in the goal scoring stakes, if he's a regular in our first team. ? But, of course, we need more than Curtis uping their numbers along with our strikers. ? ??

Needs to hit the ground running. You guys kill me sometimes. Above is recommending clearing out more than half the team, and we all expect to get better in and all gelling together from the very start.
It takes time to build a team.
If we change more than 3 or 4 of our starters at one time, then expect a pretty rough start to the season.

Looks like Rice will go Walter, but would like to keep if we can. McCausland wouldn't be a starter but useful to have in the squad for me.
