Was having a look on some transfer rumours sites last night and Lewis Ferguson rumours are rife in multiple papers in multiple countries.
So the arguement mostly given is we can't afford him. His agent has quoted his value at 10-15m euros.
As things stand I don't believe we will sign him but I also don't think that it's financially out of the question. It could be a loan to buy deal similar to Skov (8.5m plus loan fee) or it could be an outright purchase with money from a Raskin sale/the money that was made available for Olsen.

Ayrshire, I think it is all from his agent saying he wanted to play for us at some point. I took that as being at end of career and not in his prime. I just can't see him leaving Italy to come to Scotland tbh, and especially when he said his target was the EPL.
It isn't as if his profile in Italy isn't high for them to need to move her to be noticed.
If it happens, I would be very surprised and I don't think his fee will be anywhere near as low as that. But I know nothing inside, so may be well off.

Lewis Ferguson would be a superb and statement signing if we can possibly sign him, AyrshireMurphy. ? If we could somehow sign him I'd absolutely make him our new captain and build our team around him.

Most of the names were linked with won't be here, a gd few are who people keep rattling on about, because they want them, until the scarf is above the head, we just need to wait n see what or who transpires.

Bit early for Lewis to come to the famous. Time enough for that. I believe it will happen but not next season.

His agent said Ferguson's main things in career are playing EPL and playing for Rangers. Why can't he play for Rangers first? We'd have change from Raskin's sale for buying him.
Hope Olsen is not even getting thought about now.

Just had a look at Ferguson, I was thinking he was only 25, but he turns 27 in August, probably EPL first then, but you never know.

We are losing a captain. There is nobody currently at Ibrox capable of being a captain. If I was to look outside Ibrox for someone who could fill that void, he would look exactly like Lewis Ferguson. He may well want to play in a top 5 league but he can tick that box off already. He may well want to play in the EPL but which club currently playing there is pestering Bill McMurdo with calls that can actually challenge for titles.
He may well want to play and captain Rangers one day. Two out of 3 ain't bad, and that day of finally playing for Rangers might be quicker than he envisioned. Not a cheap option but one that deserves a lot of consideration.
