Sell Gassama and go for Mashaswise from Motherwell. Knows the league and wouldn't break the bank.

"Knows the league." He's had the exact same time in the league as Gassama. Honestly, think if Gassama was at Motherwell he would be an absolute world beater as well.

Maswanhise has been at Motherwell for a couple of seasons now, Mols.
19 May 2026 13:18:34
Guys, because we had a bad season doesn't make everyone around us all of a sudden mesiahs. What has Motherwell done this season?
19 May 2026 13:31:08
Knows the league and he gets it are the most annoying quotes ever. ??
19 May 2026 13:58:34
Cheers, My star. Even so, does my head in the "knows the league" patter. It's as if we can only sign players based in the SPFL.
19 May 2026 14:02:17
Mols, but better signing players with experience of our league, mate. How many good footballers fail in our league?
19 May 2026 14:31:47
Exactly My star. Knows the league is what it means. Most, and Orange, you best go tell Rohl ac we can't buy anyone from Scotland then. ?♂️ ?♂️

I'd be over the moon with Maswanhise and Curtis as the 2 options for rw next season.
19 May 2026 14:44:07
Never scored a goal after the split, would our fans have been happy with that?
19 May 2026 15:09:18
Rommens didn't know the league. Cameron knows the league. Morelos didn't know the league. Scott Wright knew the league. To me, it doesn't matter if they know the league or not. It comes down to talent and probably more so mentality. You can play all your life at Kilmarnock or Barcelona, but if you don't have the mentality to handle the pressure at Rangers you won't make it.
I agree, we need guys who are Scottish though and get our identity back, but I just think no point signing guys for the sake of it if they aren't the right fit or talent.
19 May 2026 15:10:14
Can't say Maswanhise looked that great to me. Especially in the big games at the end. I always think we should look at players who do well against our rivals rather than against us. From Motherwell, I like Watt and Fadinger. Just is technically good but seems to lack a bit of strength.
19 May 2026 15:21:06
Knows our league is only being used imo, as we aren't winning it, so we think that having Scottish based players will change that. So buy players who know the league and if we don't win it next year then the argument will be back to players in our league not being good enough.
And so it would continue forever. Not saying we shouldn't buy the very top quality from our league but how do we know they will adapt to pressures of Rangers. Also how many SPL squad players have we bought in the past who weren't good enough purely as we never won the league.
19 May 2026 15:26:36
Mols, why let such trivial things do your nut in? Davie hasn't said anything like we can only sign players from spl. Only you mentioned this. It obviously isn't a must to play in spl, but it helps, as players know exactly what they're up against.
I don't think Gassa would be a world beater at Motherwell, and get the amount of goals Masinwashe did, but each to their own.
19 May 2026 15:40:35
Many players struggle to adapt and settle in Scotland, so what's wrong with highlighting that they already know the league. We've had a whole bunch who looked good elsewhere and are hopeless here. And, no one is saying just go for Scots based players, but if they impress, why not. He is certainly an upgrade on Gassama, which I think was the original point.
19 May 2026 16:14:38
Plenty of players in Scotland that know the league, but will they fit in at Rangers and meet the demands of having to win every single match. Not many players can do that.
Playing for clubs that generally finish midfield has totally different pressure than playing for Rangers.
19 May 2026 17:03:29
Thing is, we never know how a player will be at us until we see them in action for us. For me, I just think signing from our league is less of a risk, as before we're considering them, they have caught our eye & shown potential in our league, so wouldn't need to settle, etc., whereas a foreign signing comes with more risks, family, language, climate, settling in, not to mention most come with a fairly hefty pricetag.
19 May 2026 19:24:58
Geesadontdit, why does it matter how well Motherwell have done in the league? Does that make their players bad? Let's go down to the EPL with your notion of thought. So every player currently outside of Arsenal who's currently top are bad players by not winning the league.
Absolutely ridiculous to have that notion of thought in my opinion, so going by comments by a few, we can't sign players who know the SPL and now we can only sign players that have currently won their leagues. Ohh my days. ?♂️
