I'm fully behind Danny Rohl as I've mentioned on here numerous times. I'm glad he's staying. However, there is still strong sentiment against him from a large group of the support. That's a problem we as a club don't need. This group of the support want someone Scottish, a Rangers man, 'a figure head', type appointed instead of Rohl.
I think it would be very smart if Rohl appointed a number 2, or a coach, to satisfy that section of the fanbase. A former player like Steve Davis for example.

Not so worried about Scottish No2 (but it could be beneficial if right guy) - just need some identity and born winners on the park, and a priority of a new captain who can lead by example and take games by scruff of neck when organising and motivation on park is required. ??

Fans are angry and hurt just now. Hopefully, over the summer, as we see players arrive the majority will turn back around and get behind him and be more positive. Think Davis would be a great option to have in some capacity.

I'm fully against him staying now, but was on the fence for a good while. I did state on one post that he should really focus on bringing in an experienced no 2, especially if the rumours of some of his backroom staff being unhappy are true.
I'm not bothered about nationality, but definitely about having some Rangers men in and around the club. I feel we lack that, as they can really hammer home what it means to play for us!
Certainly wouldn't be against Davis in some capacity though.

Neil McCann would have been a superb appointment as Danny Rohl's assistant and part of his backroom team, but he wouldn't give up being Kilmarnock manager to be an assistant under Rohl at Rangers. ☹️ He's a really good coach. ???

Fully agree, SWS, and that should have been a priority at the start of the season. Neil has a high level of football intelligence and would have brought exactly what we need from the coaching team. That ship has sailed but someone in that mould is very much needed.

No problem with Rohl staying next season, so long as he is 100% committed.
If his back room team leave, he needs to replace them with people who will allow him to be successful.
The nationality of those people is secondary to that.
However, I would love to see someone lead the team who fully understands what it means to play for Rangers. Someone in the Lewis Ferguson mould.

We know how this movie ends when this amount of fans are against him, mate. He won't make it by December IMHO. I want him gone, but if he is here start of next season, I'll be behind him and the team.

I would pay the money for Lewis Ferguson. He is a leader and has a lot of dig and heart. Can't actually believe we didn't get it before Bologna but that could have been for numerous reasons. He should be out number one target. I would also take Kenny MacLean if possible. Plenty of experience that we are extremely lacking.
