Is it possible Andrew Cavanagh and the new Board are looking to the new season as their first season with all their own staff and players in the door with no previous board influences.
I know it hurts to lose out in the manner we have, but was winning the league in a business sense a 'nice to have' rather than a 'must have'? especially after the whole Russell Martin and Kevin Thelwell tenure.

So, Jasper, do u reckon he is going to sack the board members here before he arrived.
12 May 2026 16:51:37
What's your thoughts, John? Do you think Rohl will be leaving?
12 May 2026 17:03:58
Montrose, how many times pal Danny Rohl has been told within the last 48 hours by Andrew Cavanagh that they back him 100% to build his own Rangers team. Rohl will be our head coach for next season, that's it. ?
12 May 2026 17:12:04
Fingers crossed, SWS. ?
12 May 2026 17:25:33
I see the "who should we sign" brigade have started with about 20 names already. Normally in close season or open window time I get caught up in the rumour mill and hang on every word certain posters say. However, this close season I'm leaving till I see Haaland or such being paraded at Ibrox.
Have a nice summer y'all.

Danny Rohl has supposedly been assured his job is safe. However, does Rohl want to stay at Rangers or move to a job where he is nearer his young family?
12 May 2026 18:18:27
Montrose, u ask what u choose.
imo, the question really ought to be: does Rohl want to stay? If not, goodbye.
I've been very clear, the owner, from day one, wants him to see out his contract.
My view of Rohl is he is struggling, mb that's down to dreadful players.
12 May 2026 18:20:27
John,
As you know, those board members that remained from before the takeover are now the minority, so I would think have little influence on the decision making. My question was more to do with next season being the first season with all the new owners, movers n shakers, in place.
12 May 2026 18:28:51
Rohl has said he absolutely wants to stay as Rangers manager. His words were 100% from his side; he wants to remain, so, John, you either believe him or you don't, pretty simple I think. ?
12 May 2026 18:37:52
SWS, exactly, mate. How many times is the question? Maybe ask yourself it as well, bud.
12 May 2026 18:47:53
Cool, Jasper, can't see Thornton being pushed out. He is still a big hitter on the board.
Walter, I'm allowed my opinion. A man asks me a question, I answer it.
And, I don't believe him, why r three is backroom staff seeking to go.
12 May 2026 18:53:45
Guys, Rohl ain't going nowhere and rightly so. Like many, I'm not convinced, but the guy at least needs a fair crack at it; it would only be fair. For those wanting Gerrard, would he have stopped 10iar if he wasn't given time? We would be sending out the message that if you can't do it in 3 quarters of a season, you're out, is that really what we want to become? I totally get the concerns, but let's be fair and give him a good go of it.
The guy is away from family and is obviously committed to us, let's show him some in return.
12 May 2026 19:03:10
That's his backroom team, John, as you put it, not him. ? That's up to you whether you believe Rohl or not. ?
12 May 2026 19:04:23
Absolutely, Boy blue. ? Well said, mate. ? ??
12 May 2026 19:05:35
If you are Rohl and have any doubts about remaining at our club or are homesick and want to return home, he would be saying the same things. Only he knows, but any manager with a jacket on a shaky peg will sit in post and hope for a contract termination compromise. Personally, I think he will start the season in charge.
12 May 2026 19:19:47
Maybe his backroom staff are struggling with the requirements of this club. Football now pays a decent wage, even within the lower reaches, without stressing you out. Players signed were expected to canter Scottish football. Sometimes the big jobs aren't what they seem.
12 May 2026 19:40:41
How many times, pal? He's only asking a question sws. I myself still think Rohl will be away in the summer. And really hope so too. Otherwise we're going to have another trophyless season.
12 May 2026 19:45:54
John, I'm with you on this. I don't believe Rohl either. I know he's come out and said he wants to stay; he's not going to say he's leaving when he maybe doesn't have a job lined up. I just feel there is too much coming out of Germany, with him being on shortlists for clubs and the family thing coming up all the time, for him not to be more in it.
Hope I don't upset SWS with saying this, as he seems to know and no one else is allowed an opinion.
