A once famous man said we need 2 quality players for every positions. We've shown already fragilties at lb when Rommens injured and who says Rommens would start over Diog. For me it's a no trainer. Let them fight it out in training to see who gets picked. We don't have 1 nailed on first name on the team sheet, let's say.
We don't need bodies in that are constant bench warmers that make us weaker when come on, we need quality in. Players when called upon can do just a good a job as the others. John, we paid 8m for Chermiti who's been on the bench countless times so I don't see your logic in your responce.

Transfers are paid over a period of the contract. It's not an instant outlay as I'm sure you know. I don't see the point in paying any money on transfers or wages, knowing that this player will only be a bench warmer and only play if somebody's injured. We already have enough of them already. We want to get better and compete to try win trophies.
People saying we should sign the likes of Mcrorie, I get it's their opinion but it's madness. Why, cause he's Scottish and an ex player. If he was a different nationality he wouldn't even be looked at. Like I say, their standards and our standards have definitely fallen off a cliff of late.

Why would he want to come and play second fiddle because we want two players for every position? Why would we pay £4m for a guy to sit on the bench or for another guy worth £4m to sit on the bench?

We do pay up fees, but we have to pay portions of fee for Fernandes, Rommens, Chuckuwani, Antman Gassama, Miovski, Chermiti, Naderi, Aasgaard, Barron, Diomande, Bajrami, Cameron this summer.
Plus near 7 million in loan fees, salary etc.
It actually does not leave great deal of scope unless u sell the three, four Crown Jewels we have.

Looks like standards have dropped from the club and expectation from some fans. Yes, there's reality, we can only spend so much on players, so why waste on mediocre players that are never first 11 starters is beyond me.

I'll tell you what, willy nilly is spending money over the course of a contract for players that are deemed as squad players and will only start if there's an injury. I'm sticking with what Sir Walter said, and it's true.

Walter, can you take me to post? I say we won't spend a decent sum of money. I say it has to be spent wisely. We r not at the stage of spending 4 for bench warmer.
We could sign three mb four OOC, all better than we have at present.
Wsl, imo Fernandes, Raskin, Chermiti and possibly Rommens can make us a lot of money.

Davie, it wasn't aimed at you, it's aimed at all the fans that think we have unlimited funds. We have a left back, we need someone that can fill in. We need at least a gk, 2 ch, a 6, a couple of wingers and another striker, so to spend 4 million on a left back is a no for me and doesn't make sense. When we need to get all the rest.
I don't know where the money is coming from for all of those, never mind another left back. A great left back in your opinion, also. How many times you seen him play in Italy? I love these questions because normally people lie. ?.
