If we do end up in the Conference League, how far will this have put as back? Surely it really would be a bad show by the 49ers? I understand the comments will come that they saved the club from going under, but it's a real poor show✌️?.

Yately, before Rohl came in, we didn't even think we would get Europe.
I don't see how it's the league's fault that 3rd gets Conference League. It's worse next year when 2nd will get Conference League, as winners of the Scottish Cup get Europa.
It's the club's fault for doing poorly in Europe over the last 5 years. That's what co-efficient is done on.

That's the thing that annoys me. It's our club that kept the other ones propped up in coefficient with our runs in Europe.

It's the club's fault? When making the top eight last season, a couple of times, and other times making the last 16, we played in a final four years ago. This is the only poor season. We've done extremely well in Europe since Gerrard. Our problem is other clubs in our league not picking up enough points.

Not so much a poor show by the 49ers, more a poor show by the players and management team. Plenty of us have said all season that we have the strongest squad in the country. So I lay the blame more at their door, as they have the biggest input on what happens on the pitch.
Before anyone says the management team can't be blamed, as they got us back into contention, then I'd argue that they should then be good enough to see it through. In all honesty, the footballing side of the club should shoulder that.
Other than the timing of Tavs' announcement and the trip to Spain, that you could argue would have been green lighted by the board, I'm quite sure if the footballing side of the club didn't want that to happen then it wouldn't have.
Application and focus will have cost u the league, imo, as it was in our hands until we lost that focus and failed to apply ourselves properly on the pitch.

I think if we get Conference you'll see Watt and Graham and others signed from the league, whereas if we make Champions League you'll see the bigger targets like Dahl and Andersons signed.
Doehki on one hand, Graham on the other.
Champions League we may keep Manny and Chermiti, Conference we will likely lose them, although for top dollar.
It's a pity we can't get Europa cause I love that competition.
As a Rangers fan, that's our level, as in we can compete and go far, if not all the way.
I think this squad with Anderson and Dahl in for Raskin and Dio. A good right winger and Moore or a new left. Same back line as now, but new RB. I would have high expectations on that squad.
Dahl is going to be world class, I've seen him and he's a player. Reminds me of Yaya Toure. Or Declan Rice, he's really top drawer.

The only way we're in the Conference League is if we finish third and Dunfermline win the Scottish Cup.

I don't want to be in the Conference, but if we were, and had a great run to the final and won it, would we not all be happy at having another European Trophy in our history? More likely to do that than do anything in the CL league when we could be in danger of another campaign like GVB had.
The standard is higher now, and we are much worse. Imagine this Rangers team playing Bayern or PSG.
