Watched Tavs interview. He was asked about next season, was very coy and avioded explicitly saying he wants to sign another year, my gut says he's off to the USA on the back of that interview.

I never actually gave a thought to Tav maybe going to the USA to finish his football career, TJBB. ? That would be a very good move for him, if indeed he's not offered a new deal to stay with Rangers. ???

Tjbb, I think it would be a perfect time for him to bow out if we win the title. I think the hard time he gets from fans will tenfold if he hangs around. I wouldn't like to see that tbh.

The abuse Tav gets is terrible at times, BB, and I would also hate to see it getting worse. ? However, I still think/want him to get a new 1 year deal on reduced terms, as his experience being within the first team squad is valuable for me, not to mention he's always fit and available to bring on if needed to help us out if certain games ain't going our way.

? The guy looks after himself and is a model pro/athlete. ???

Tavernier could be playing in England, the USA, over in Dubai, etc. If Rangers offer him reduced terms, I imagine he'll be off. The guy is still a good player and deserves one last payday. Playing in front of fans who are supportive of him is what he deserves. The way Rangers fans speak about this player absolutely disgusts me.

£200k we signed this guy for in the lower leagues.

He ends up winning the SPFL title and stopping Celtic from doing 10IAR. Then he took us to a major European final and was one of the best players in the entire competition. He has been nominated for Scotland's PFA POTY award multiple times. James Tavernier must be one of the best value signings Rangers have ever made.

Agree one of our best signings.

You do realise Rohl, that everything you say is in past tense?
We all respect his goals and service, but hopefully he leaves us with a winner's medal in his tail.

I would like him to stay but the shift at RB is too much for him to handle. move him forward and we will get another season from him, wage being practical of course, but if he sees an opp in USA or other then that's fine he would go with a big thank you from most.

Perhaps we're waiting to see if we have CL money before offering a back up player a £20-25k a week deal? If not, go cheaper route and remember big Balogun left and came back a month later too.

I think give him a year's deal, man. He's great from the bench if we need a goal.

He should play in the rw role and just swing in crosses and get on the end of left wing crosses as he's scored a few tap ins with his head at back post too.

He's screaming out to be a forward player, it has bewildered me for years why we've not tried him there.

He can't defend, and we play him at centre half; it is mental.

Stevie G, tbh mate, Tav has been decent when playing centre half. ?
