Hi gents. There was a lot of debate the other day as to whether there is an option or an obligation to buy Skov Olsen. I have no insider info and many of you will also have heard this, but Joshua Barrie stated in the Rangers Review podcast on Saturday that Rangers have "an option WITHOUT AN OBLIGATION to buy" Skov Olsen.
He may or may not be wrong. I was listening to this as I cleaned the bathroom and have taken a break from which to post this message, to the fury of my wife, so I hope you appreciate my sacrifice.

Regardless of what the actual contractual obligations are or are not, I hope we don't have any obligations on him as he is no longer the player he once was.
We've been here with other players in the past who have lost their hunger for the game.
Look at Delle Ali as an example of how u don't have to be in your mid 30s to suddenly just lose that spark to your game.
I think Olsen has lost it, and I hope we haven't hung ourselves by inserting a stupid agreement into his contract. He is not anywhere near good enough to justify even another loan.

He will be a Rangers player next season. They can't come out and admit it to fans, because they'll lose their mind. He was signed for next season, excluding any serious injury, and if he can get up to speed, like Davis and Defoe did, he'll be good for the last 4 games.
This mentality would have stopped Steven Davis on a perm, one of our greatest recent players did identical to this.

SixteenNinety. He should be up to speed by now. There's absolutely no info to suggest he's going to be signed in the summer. Performance-wise, not sure he makes it into Aberdeen's side at the moment.

Stevie, I mentioned Dele Ali the other day on this subject, but he has gone through other stuff that hasn't anything to do with football that has messed with his head, mate. Something a child should never go through.

We don't have any obligation to buy Skov Olsen. It was a straight £2m loan fee with option to buy at £7m. Unless Olsen seriously ups his game, then no way should we buy him.
