My opinion of Djiga has changed massively and what a player he has turned out to be! Him and Moore would be dream signings!

Andreas Skov Olsen has been a massive flop so far and not up to par unfortunatley! I really want him to suceed, and hope that he can push on and do what Djiga has done!

Time will tell.

Again, both started terribly, but are now being judged over the course of an entire season.

22 Mar 2026 11:35:57
Aphelion, it was absolutely clear to me when I first saw Moore play for us that he was an extremely talented young footballer. ? What a career this young man is going to have imo. ? He's the most talented attacking player we have at Rangers, bar none, and still only 18 years old. ?

Prob with Olsen is time is running out for him. Djiga has had time to go through a dip and pull it back. Even if Skov turns it on in a few of the games we have left, is it enough to fork out 9m? Big, big gamble.

A further loan would be the sensible option if we choose to stick with him, but I would assume his parent club will want rid.

22 Mar 2026 11:44:09
Where are you getting the 9 million figures?

22 Mar 2026 11:47:03
Spot on, sws, you seen he had something straight away, mate.

22 Mar 2026 12:04:20
Aph, why are you so defensive of Skov Olsen? You're not on a cut of any fee, are you? He has to be judged on what he has done for us. So far, he has not shown nearly enough to merit making his stay permanent.

22 Mar 2026 12:12:05
Cuillen, I am a defender of fairness.

I merely pointed out that both those players started terribly, and fans were wanting to drive them back to England just to get rid of them.

Opinions have changed now after these players have had the season to settle, adapt, and show what they are worth.

All I support and defend is that same courtesy being extended to all new signings.

He may not come good. I have not and cannot say that his performances have not been poor.

I just extend courtesy, and use my knowledge that some players, especially those who have not played much football in 12 months, can take longer to get up to speed and regain confidence.

I'm beginning to think Thelwell didn't get it all wrong. I'd buy Djiga right now. He and Fernandez could be great.

22 Mar 2026 12:35:39
Let's be honest, Olsen does not seem interested, unless the fee is low. We should just say thanks at the end of the season. He has not exactly been a success in Germany. Maybe he is just not suited to the pace of the Scottish game.
Not sure what the fee would be, but if anywhere near 4-5m, money would be better spent elsewhere.

As to interest in Motherwell players, good luck to them if they think they can get 5 to 6 m for them; I can't see anyone paying that.
But if that's the going rate, what value is Barron if interest from Italy is true.

22 Mar 2026 12:55:45
Wolves only signed him last for £10m. If it's now starting to be viewed as a good loan, there's no way they are selling him for less. He could probably start for them in the Championship.

22 Mar 2026 12:56:00
It's his wages, anaw, Jasp. He's on close to 50k, 7/8 million for him, then he would want at least 30/35k a week.

22 Mar 2026 12:59:03
Akhe, you're biting. Ignore it.

22 Mar 2026 13:03:48
Would love Skov Olden to be the player that we know he can be. I just fear he will run out of time unless we get him on another loan with obligation. Just now, the pressure is way too high, and unfortunately we cannot afford any passengers.

22 Mar 2026 13:38:51
So who is to say that Olsen only gets to the end of the season? That is for the clubs and the player to decide. Our coaches will know the reason why he isn't performing at 100%, as he hasn't played in so long. But what happens if they can see enough to decide he is worth the risk?
btw, isn't the asking price that is being put about, I reckon, because that is what it is on Transfermrkt, and the media will think they don't want to lose more than that on the higher price they paid.

But they may just want rid of him, and it's better to get what they can at the end of this season, rather than hold on and get nothing at the end of the deal.

22 Mar 2026 13:44:38
Absolutely correct, Angus.

I have noticed that these figures always get talked about as GBP on here.

That is the surest way to guarantee inaccuracies.

22 Mar 2026 14:37:22
Can't see it being 9m, probably 6/7m. Hopefully he stands out against Hearts and Celtic and the opinions change. Any player needs longer than 7 games, but if in the remaining games he doesn't show what he's capable of, I'd be tempted into another loan deal.

But you're bang on the button, Angus, our coaches know far more than the average fan. If they think of signing him up, I certainly wouldn't be going against it.

22 Mar 2026 14:57:29
Olson has been a disappointment. Plain and simple. He doesn't even merit a start. Keep him on the bench, maybe giving him some mins when players are tired, then send him back when loan ends.

I really wouldn't want us to spend 1 million on him. We all judge on performances, and they haven't been great. Thank you, good luck, as you'll need it, and good bye.

22 Mar 2026 15:42:08
Aphe, it's you that said it was 7/8 million.
