Can't belive the difference in Djiga. Both in terms of outputs and confidence.
The more good things he does obviously leads to more confidence, but.
Can it be as simple as playing alongside Souttar doesn't suit him?

£7m would be a steal for him. It's a must for us with all the upheaval due this summer.
He and Manny, with a new right back, Rommens, and a real no6, would be a great foundation to build from.

Just to add, if we took him 7-8m, see next summer we'd have 2 £20m defenders for me.
Manny would be worth more, because of his goals and height, but diva will be £20m after another season with us, imo.
Rommens would be £20m plus.
Chucky £12-15m in a year.

Isn't Chukwuani a 6?
21 Mar 2026 22:25:31
Gazza, no, he isn't. Raskin tried to play it more tonight, dropping between the CBs, but we lost a goal as he left that position, and the Dons player stepped into the gap and scored. We need a real number 6 who knows how to play it naturally.

If Djiga was our own player, we'd probably not have given Souttar a new deal, or maybe we would've, but as a sub.

Barrons a 6.
22 Mar 2026 02:07:57
Barron is not a good enough 6, OT. He doesn't control the tempo of a game.

Souttar isn't good enough to play for Rangers. I think Danny has only realised that after he got his new contract, unfortunately.
Stevie from 4lads made a great point on one of his podcasts. He said Djiga looked ropey when partnered with Souttar.
Fernandez looked ropey when partnered with Souttar. Put Fernandez and Djiga together and they look far more assured. Souttar is the problem, and I don't want to see him playing again.

I'll tell you something, Storm. If Barron had been on the park, imo Aberdeen wouldn't have scored. ? Barron also plays the ball quicker forward, and although a defensive midfielder, I disagree with you, Storm, because at times I've seen Barron controlling the tempo and setting the pace for us in a good few games. ?

Unfortunately, have to agree with you, Rohl. John Souttar appears to be the common denominator when it comes to not getting the best out of the other 2. Regardless of if we have Djiga or another CB next season, I am going to assume he will start very few games under DR.
22 Mar 2026 09:17:10
Gonna give Storm some credit, he's relentlessly stated Souttar is the weak link even when people (myself included) were crying out for him.
On Barron, I totally disagree with you, Storm. He's a good young Scot who gives his all and wins the ball back a lot and pressurised the opponent. Think him and Chucky would work well in the middle.
22 Mar 2026 11:02:39
Bad. He isn't the 6 we need.
Coops, you can have your opinion about that goal, but it's totally bs. ?

Baz, Soutter is exceptionally poor player

Hes came on heaps and bounds. Can see why wolves paid the money for him.not sure what the future holds with them getting relegated would they be open for him to leave. Or will he play in the Championship since his wages are low and wolves will need cut there wage bill??
