Fact over Opinion, Opinion over Fact.
We need to stop making excuses for underperforming players.
You don't win titles or cups with players who are off the boil.
2nd best in Glasgow is as good as last place.
You don't loan players like Skov Olsen and wait for him to come good again.
You don't pay £10 million for a potential striker who had hardly scored before coming to Ibrox and then expect him to fire us to the title.
You don't reward CHs with new contracts and then drop them.
You don't persist with an ageing RB whose defensive frailties have been on show for years just because he throws in numerous crosses per match.
You don't develop other team's young players to the detriment of your own and then wonder why our most talented youngsters head South at the first opportunity.
The above are only opinions – not facts.
If we win the title this season, all my opinions stated are irrelevant.
To be a Rangers player and thrive you need to stand tall.
Plenty have taken to Barron as he shows the bare minimum every game – hunger, energy and desire.
If some of our more talented players showed half the fight we would be in a much better place.
The same goes for managers.
Some would have happily given Martin another transfer window to make amends. Others saw this would have just exacerbated the issue.
Most are 100% behind Rohl, though that still doesn't mean he is exempt from criticism.
Football is a sport built on passion, raw emotion and ups and downs.
It's why we love it.
It's why we discuss it daily on here.
We can all be opinionated.
Do I think Chermiti is the long-term answer as our number 1 striker? Nope. Does that mean I won't celebrate any of his goals? Nope.
Does that make me right or wrong about him? Nope.
Until Chermiti starts scoring 20+ a season and firing us to titles and cups then it's all about opinions. Not fact.
Stop taking posts / threads so seriously.
Nobodies' opinion is any more relevant than anyone else's.
Enjoy your weekend troops. ?⚪?.

Plenty have taken to Barron because he shows much more than the 'bare minimum' Potato.

Mph and Kaiser.
Seems we've all had the same thought process today over various threads. ?

We're 3 points off the top after a really bad start, and are completely in the race for the title. Since our new manager took over, we've probably accumulated the most points in the league, so I'd say that's fact over opinion.
Opinions on the value or quality of a player are exactly that, opinions, with the opinion that counts the managers. You could say that facts are goal contributions, right enough.

I think it is possible to support a team, celebrate the things a player does well whilst acknowledging the things they aren't doing as well, even if that is unspoken. That isn't making excuses for them, imo, but support and being aware that no player we will buy will be perfect and may even need a period of time to settle and find their best form.
Constantly belittling our players and giving them no time to settle or develop is why we are where we are currently, as it results in managers being sacked and whole squads being changed. Martin was the exception to that rule, and few, if any, wanted to give him further transfer windows.
So I accept that fans can put forward those negative posts, but will continue to robustly defend the team despite that.
That is the purpose of the forum as I understood it.
However, I do agree we can do that and support Rangers, we just see the way to do that slightly differently. That doesn't mean I am right and others are wrong, although I obviously believe my opinion is right, otherwise I wouldn't voice it at all.
However, if we were to win the title this year with an oft-criticised squad and team it would give me a warmer feeling to have been supportive during the season. Again, that doesn't make me better or worse than anyone who thought differently.

As Stig says, it's also important to be able to learn from others' opinion as well as digging into our own. Angus, if we win, I'll take joy knowing the players took on board our criticism and bucked up their ideas. ?

Players ain't reading this anonymous site, and going all these people are getting onto me. What is said on here has no relevance to what happens on the field.
