According to a lot of the posters on live chat, the league is over. Not for me personally, there is still a lot going to happen between now and the last game. But a lot of our supporters have thrown in the towel

23 Feb 2026 06:36:32
It doesn't surprise me some Rangers supporters continually do this orange T. ? Granted it was a bad result yesterday, but the league is far from over and a good few points will be dropped by all 3 before this league is decided. ? These supporters are the same ones that had the league in the bag for us last week, and now, with the bad result at Livi yesterday, we've lost the league.

That's just what they're like, mate: all rosy and then all doom and gloom, and they forget everything that can happen in between. ?

Wouldn't read too much into live chat. A lot of it is just the irrational in-game emotions we all go through at times. Especially when you're getting beat by the worst team in the league. Some get a bit too worked up over it. We're still in the race, but that was still a bad result.

23 Feb 2026 07:17:49
Not just on live chat, they do it in posts every time we drop points. 'Only sing when we're winning' comes to mind.

Yep, worldbeaters to also-rans, quality player to dud. Bonkers in here.

Let's look at it logically.

Our away form recently has simply not been good enough. That's the reality. You don't win leagues when you're dropping points the way we have.

If you go by average points gained and overall consistency, Hearts, based on points per game, are on course to win the league. That would be an absolutely remarkable achievement for DM and his squad.

Our inconsistency has cost us, with results like yesterday, the game against Motherwell, the draw with Hibs, and the earlier defeat to Hearts.

Hearts are still grinding out results when they need them and clinging on to top spot. Let's be honest, most of us thought by now they would have dropped down the table.

But they've proven to be a real threat this year, and DM and his squad clearly aren't going down without a fight.

Celtic still have a game in hand, but based on average points per game, I'd say we're more likely to finish above them. Whether that's 1st or 2nd place, time will tell.

People keep saying everyone will drop points, and that may be true, but on average, Hearts are showing consistency. We turn up for the big games, but against the teams we expect to beat, we've let ourselves down badly. For me, that's where this league will ultimately be won and lost this season.

Logic? Stig, it doesn't exist in here as much as you try; they only see what they want to see. We're doomed, doomed, ah tell ye. ?

23 Feb 2026 08:11:53
Why is there an issue when someone shares a different opinion from you, as long as it is a respectful post.
Is the forum only for posters who want to believe we will win the league, fair enough if you do, but the amount of tripe spouted also by the same posters about our so called fans and thrown the towel in garbage because they look at our team a different way.

23 Feb 2026 08:13:10
Agree, Stig. Well worded. ?

23 Feb 2026 08:24:13
Good post, Stig. ?

If you don't like the truth, then scroll by, or continue with selective memory. If you're not seeing what fans are doing constantly, you're lying to yourself. Have fun with that.

23 Feb 2026 09:51:58
The worrying thing is the away is not a 1 off. A pattern is developing. You cannot win the league with our current away form, imo, especially when we have to travel to Parkhead and Tynecastle. We're shooting ourselves in the foot. We're "hoping" Hearts drop points in the run-in. I'm not convinced they'll drop more than us currently.

23 Feb 2026 10:06:15
A lot of fans would rather be negative, and then, if we don't win the league, they can say they were correct, "told you so" type fans.

But, boy, will they celebrate when we win it, like they never doubted the team.

23 Feb 2026 10:08:38
Not seen you ever on live chat, Rosevale, so I doubt you see what I'm talking about.

23 Feb 2026 10:33:29
Fork, it in itself is the nature of sport and football. I've been doing it since I can remember. It doesn't make them bad supporters. Some can maybe detach better and be more objective, but you shouldn't expect it or criticise it. The truth is we played the bottom of the league yesterday and fell a further 2 points behind Hearts.

Rangers haven't won the league in nearly 6 years, and we are now in with a shout, yet we must be objective and trust the process. Let them use this forum as an outlet, eh.

23 Feb 2026 11:12:34
I get that, Windy, but there is a tendency to be over dramatic both ways. I never said they were bad, bud. Over dramatic, yes; bad, no. ?

23 Feb 2026 12:01:14
Fork. ?

23 Feb 2026 13:38:39
I'm not referring to the live chat, Orange, and wasn't replying to your post; it was in response to another. And I have no desire to go on the live chat if people can't be respectful.

23 Feb 2026 14:02:21
We've got 10 games to go. Based on the results of the past 10 games, we will win the league by a point from Hearts. We need to sort out the away form, though.

23 Feb 2026 15:40:19
He was having a pop at me OT. He can't handle the truth in relation to how fickle our fans can be. Point me in the direction where I said we'll win the league, I'll wait. Oh, and I've never had a pop about fans throwing the towel in, again I'll wait.

Christ, keep going and you'll say I'm a happy clapper next. I tell it like it is; if u don't like it, ignore me.

23 Feb 2026 18:13:45
Fork, I wasn't, and I generally like your posts as you're honest.
