Thought the atmosphere on the stadium was excellent yesterday, best I've experienced for a long time - although it was a bit weird not being able to celebrate.
Was really interesting watching how we set up in 3-4-3, especially seeing how varied the rotation is and how many different positions players take up during different phases.
Seeing it live it's understandable how we make so many silly mistakes at the back and also how we drop out of games for chunks of time.
However, with more time I genuinely think Rohl could create something pretty special.
Going to be interesting to see how we develop over the next 3-4 weeks as Rohl will have about 4 days a week with the team to work on it Vs the 1 day he currently gets.

Thought it was fluid EHL, and the players, at times, were out of position. He has time to iron it out n fine tune it now.

Delighted with the score and performance. However, 3 things annoyed me. Meghoma's slack pass for their first goal. The guy who crossed for their second was offside, and Olsen being booked for diving when it was a penalty.

I think the fact that the crowd didn't seem to react negatively when we went behind both times seemed to help a little as well, especially for the first one, where we reacted positively and scored quickly.
Does your review mean that you are slightly more optimistic that 3 at the back can work for us?

Ehl, what's your view on why we drop out of games? Think yesterday was our best performance of the season. For once, we stood up physically to the opposition.

Whatsmyname, Meghoma wasn't playing. It was checked, and the guy wasn't offside, but I do agree with your third point. It may or may not have been a penalty, but it wasn't a dive and shouldn't have been a booking.

Whatsmyname, I haven't seen it back, but I'm pretty sure it was Fernandez with the slack pass, and the cross for the second came from Steinwender, who wasn't offside.
I heard mixed opinions on the dive, to be fair, but it didn't look like a dive from where I was sitting.

Chenks, I think we're very good and very fluid when we have momentum or when the game is open. However, when sides get a bit of control of the ball, we look a little bit lost.
You could see players looking a little unsure of where to be or what the triggers should be to change.
It'll take time, but yesterday was the first time I could really see what we're working towards.

Ehl, you may well be right about the extra time Danny has to work with the players. I cannot see any negative side to having the extra days' availability to coach the players.

Did see Raskin splitting Souttar and Fernandez regularly yesterday, EHL. Same with Chermiti dropping deeper. Chermiti won the most duels yesterday. 14. Fluidity of the system will have more time to be worked on now, which is why I think we'll be much stronger next season. Heard it said about the Motherwell manager and Rohn: the Motherwell manager had a full pre-season, Rohn did not.

Olsen initiated contact was the call, I think. As to whether that constitutes a dive is another question. Is you hitting the player and falling a dive or a foul? Looked a penalty in real time, though, so well spotted by the referee.

The 4-2-2-2 seemed to work well. Lot of work for the two wing-backs, so I can only see Sterling getting 70 mins at most in this formation. Horses for courses though, and I expect it to change weekly under Danny Rohl.
Antman linking up with Rommens, with Moore further in, has looked our best attacking option in earlier games. I also think the one game a week will be huge for us in coming weeks.
