Rumours Eh!
So yes, someone got something wrong but he's also had things right.
At the end of the day, if you don't like a rumour, scroll past. There's no need to dig up the past just to try and win an argument.
All he's doing is posting a rumour. He's not saying you have to believe 100% that what he's posted is true.
Give the guy a break and let people post rumours.
Some of the replies are exactly the kind of posts that can damage the site, because they put people off contributing.
If you want to ruin the site, carry on with the petty comments.

Stig, I usually just ignore them as anything said tends to end in these discussions and ICBA about those. However in this case I pointed out why people might not believe rumours when things have been so wrong in the past.
However I also believe that we debate everything else on every other page so why are rumours different? put your post up take the debate and either ignore it or not.

Totally agree. I find it weird you get more discussion on the person posting the rumour than the rumour being posted.

There is a difference between debating a rumour and dragging up past rumours that didn't come true.
None of the rumours are facts. Some are right some are not. It amazes me the memory some posters have that enables them to quote what other posters said a long time ago and why they would even bother to drag it ip in the first place.

Tedious and tiresome when something that is opined due to alleged information, which may or may not come to fruition, is attacked, football is a movable feast of information that can change in a heartbeat, if no one supplies information then there's no site, a rumour is not 100% definitive, what may be right at one point may not at the next.
Too many looking to have a pop just for the sake of it, they know there doing it and if you look it's visible.

Stig Someone said a few days ago things it seemed much friendlier on here recently. Seems like since then some are determined to derail that questioning peoples character again and others bringing up past posts to add fuel to their fire.
Rumours are just that and other negotiations fall at the last minute so not everything is ever 100% correct until signed but doesn't mean the person was making stuff up.

Who cares Newtown if someone wants to come across as in the know especially it their information is generally reliable or informative. you say some are desperate to be accepted but there are those just as desperate to be negative and look to discredit anyone at every opportunity.
