This Summer A Major Rebuild Is Needed and I hope Rohl demands it.
We need to take a hard look at what's required this summer the outgoings, the aging players who should be moved on, and those who simply aren't good enough. Rohl must be backed to demand real change.
Keeper, defence, midfield, attack every area needs serious work.
This is another full rebuild, and honestly, if Thelwell and his team are still leading it, that's a huge concern.
Let's be serious this squad isn't anywhere near title contenders, and it's nowhere close to being capable of a European run like we've seen in the past. Right now, it's a mid-table League One side playing in the SPFL. We'll be lucky to finish second and even that feels doubtful.
We blew the best part of £25 million in the last transfer window probably more once you factor in loans, wages, and signing fees. And what do we have to show for it? Absolutely nothing.
It's unbelievably poor business ridiculously bad.
What are the owners thinking? We're in serious danger of missing out on European football next season and second place isn't guaranteed either.

I just can't see this group putting together a consistent run of 4, 5, or 6 wins. It's not Rohl's fault he's been thrown into this mess. I only hope it doesn't derail his career so early if these players end up throwing him under the bus.

Kinda got to agree stig, shopping in lower league markets in England like Thelwell says he knows won't buy you spl title. I will reserver tho tho untill next season. Min persons I think we need right now I'd international scouts. Thellwell take a step back.

Yip stig another rebuild, same ? different season. It actually blows my mind how wrong we got it. If our owners have anything about them they will see it all stems back to one man.

Couldn't agree more Davie and Stig. Loads of money spent this past summer, more than we have spent in any transfer window for quite some time. and still every position desperately needs an upgrade, except maybe GK but you could argue that as well. Add in that that we need the whole defence replaced, once the loans expire. What we are screaming for are leaders and a spine in the team.
Do we trust Thelwell and his team to get this right? Not after what we've witnessed so far. What worries me is he only knows one market and obviously is ok with overpaying for underperforming championship players. Thelwell needs to get the January transfer window spot on or needs to. go. I'd like him to leave now but we can't have everything.

How many times do we require a rebuild. It just shows how poor our recruitment teams have been in the past. Its time this American ownership takes Thelwell and others to task for this current group of players we have been landed with.

We spent next to nothing on a net basis. The £25m is a mirage. Our wage bill has also decreased substantially. I'm beginning the SF guys are conmen.

Not really Geesa, it shows what happens when u hire poor managers and directors of football. Even when SG and Warburton had more than one season we were still signing 10-15 players a season.
