Could the performance on sat prove to be a blessing? Rm will know 1st hand what we as fans have witnesses for several years thst certsin players don't work hard enough, many hide when it's getting tough and some simply aren't good enough. It's OK people telling you these things but until you see it first hand the words don't carry much weight. I hope it's a wakeup call otherwise sat performance will happen periodically until he loses his job.

OWS I think thsi is part of why it takes managers so long to implement anything. I think we fans think it is a select few players (we can all name them) but it is more widespread. he used the words 'too many' on Saturday so needs to see if they are now willing to 'come along' or be left.

RM tactic was the reason for our poor performance.
We have no width.
One pass and our midfield is cut open because they all over the place out of position.
Our defence created our own problems because they are stupidly asked to pass it out.
We take an age to get forward which allows the opposition to push up and press and force errors.
I don't know why people look past this and try to blame the players. It was comical watching us the other day and it was comical listen to RM trying to blame everyone but himself.
A lot of us raised concerns about his tactics and the other day proved exactly why.

I doubt he needed Saturday to see that and if he did then there is something wrong. If he's playing certain players to give them a chance to change, clean slate and all that then that's fine but should be clear after preseason and 3 competitive matches they can't/ won't change.

Cooper, The players can get fired up for European games easily, but now we've just seen under a new manager in a league some still can't, so he has seen that on Saturday.

It's only a blessing if the penny has actually dropped on a few players if Dowell and tav start with Aaron's at left back then the games a bogey and RM is a waffler.

We were brutal in all three games so far which is down to tactics, nothing to do with getting fired up.
In europe games are more open and where we can play.
In the SPL games are more physical, tight and scrappy. Where we are less likely to play football.
We need to adapt our tactics and our set up to suit both.

The system and not the players are to blame. Asking players to play out of position in a very strange set up that leaves the midfield more or less empty is a worse strategy than Beale's. EVERYBODY knew this system would cost us in transition and create little going forward. We are through in Europe due to poor finishing from Panathanaikos. Centre backs and keeper have bailed us out with last ditch challenges and saves.

Coully the manager had 5 substitutions to make on Saturday and he made them all. so I think as the manager took 5 other players off he possibly doesn't see Tav and Dowell being the problem, or at least not as big a problem as the 5 he took off.

What players are out of Positions Bear? only Aarons and Dowell but that changes once a rw and lb are signed, getting players used to his system doesn't happen after a few games though like some fans expect.

Ironically Angus Tav and Dowell were at fault for the goal. They were the biggest problem.

Tav can't play inside
Raskin and Dio can't play wide
Aarons can't play inside or LB
Dowell can't play anywhere on the park.
Danilo can't play on the halfway line with his back to goal.
Souttar can't play LCB
Butland can't play sweeper keeper with the ball at his feet.
All of those are out of position?♂️.

Gassa mate absolutely brilliant comment, his tactics are 100% the reason for Saturdays performance and have been an issue in all 5 games played under him (yes friendlies included)
This absolute nonsense of oh we have signed 7 players and are implementing a new style needs to stop already. Motherwell have a new manager and as many new players and left their captain/ best player out of the squad and made a tweak at HT and played us off the park for the rest of the game. Professional players know how to play the game but are clearly not resonating with what is being asked of them and are at times left totally confused.

We need a left footed cb signed and Souttar is better rcb but has been one of our better players at lcb.
