Anyone else think nsiala would be worth a punt instead of soapy? Appreciate he's young and made a few mistakes last season but think his ability with the ball at his yet makes him a better fit for RM's system. Souter's passing game has been been brutal.

Hes clearly not favoured in centre defence but being left footed could he not be tried in that left back inverted role?

Soutter may be brutal at times when passing and running out of defence with the ball but his defending and last minute tackles have been really good, other than letting the ball bounce in box before trying to header in last game.

Not for me at the moment. I think nsiala has real potential and I like him but soutar is a much better defender and no comparison in terms of physicality as it stands.
Hopefully a season loan for nsiala to a relatively physical league (in all honesty loaning him within our league would suit me) for him to toughen up and gain first team experience and hopefully he'd be ready to shine for us next season.

Big soapys passing when driving out with the ball has been poor borders but his defending for me is way above nsiala, body on the line rarely loses a headed dual i think he's got to play, nsiala for me doesn't look aggressive enough in his defending i think back to the st mirren game and he was bullied badly, work must be done with souttars passing though agree on that.

I like big soapy and hope he signs a new deal to stay with Rangers ?.

BigDado, he played there a couple of times last season and it didn't work because he never pushed forward, the central defender in him wanted to stay back.
Big Bassey was great in that role!

Fergie, you're spot on. Personally would loan Nsiala out to a St Mirren or similar to get some game time and for him to focus more on the dirty side of the game.

I really like Nsiala, however I don't think we'll see him playing for us again.

Don't think Nsiala has the football brain to play that roll (does anyone? ) and imo, would get caught out even more.

I'd like to see him given another go. Had a few scary moments (which of our back line hasn't? ) and lost confidence but before that looked good.

Far point re the physical side of his game being below soutar but not convinced by soapy at all over the last few season's. Hopefully I'm proven wrong this year and will gladly eat some humble pie.

I think souttar is the better player atm, but I think nsiala will grow into the better player and with the right game management and opportunities that could happen with this season, problem is he seems to have demanded a starting spot, as I believe that was the plan yhe club outlined when signing him, for this season. So he either goes on loan or he sulks.
For me I'd tell him u stay for first half and we loan u for the 2nd half if u aremt happy with your season . That's what I'd tell him. So fet the head down and prove us wrong Clinton son.
We need him this season woth all that's going to go in with afcon.

Nsiala would need to learn to defend first.
02 Aug 2025 10:00:07
Souttar defensively is really good imo, And I won't be surprised to see him do well coming out with the ball and passing within a short time.
02 Aug 2025 10:26:50
Im the same as you EHL really like Nsiala and definitely think there is a player in there.
Id rather he stayed but if was to go then hopefully just a straight loan for game time.
Still very light at CB so wouldn't be too hasty to send him just yet.

We need much better than both Nsiala and Souttar. It's been apparent for quite some time to be honest. We need a CB LB RW ST and we'll be in a strong position. Hopefully today we put down a marker with a strong win and solid performance. let's go.

Soapy has to go now if he won't sign a contract extension - he's worth £3 or £4 m i'd guess and nothing in 10 months.
