Had a week off from posting, that's plenty ?. Can't stay away guys! Back with tail between my legs.
What's happening with outgoings? I'm concerned we haven't sold a single player yet. Looking likely we will have to pay the majority of these guys off. Are guys like Propper, Ridvan, Davies, Cifuentes, Nsiala even training with the team? Looked like King was moving on then named him in Euro squad, short at cb and homegrown so can see why but are we still looking to move him on? Matondo is on nearly 30k a week and injured until next month what we going to do with him? Teams apparently interested in McCausland but no bids as of yet? Why is it so hard for us to move players on.
Anyway on a more positive note looking forward to getting back to Ibrox on Tuesday with my boy. Hopefully get the Martin era off to a good start. Sure some will have pitchforks out if not!

Who are u and wheres Shakey???.
20 Jul 2025 09:44:01
We probably need to acknowledge that a number of our players are unlikely to be other clubs first choice and I suspect we'll see movement towards to the of the window when clubs are looking at plan b's (perhaps even c or d) .
20 Jul 2025 09:50:49
It's still viewed as early in the window for most clubs so not in a hurry. Early champions league start mkaes things more urgent for us. Big problem we have tho is we overpay players to convince them to come to Scotland then noone willing to pay their wage. Even our academy players are on way beyond what others clubs would pay. Expect we might be able to sell a couple of the unwanted but majority will be loans or vastly reduced fees and pay offs unfortunately.

Shakey. it is a transfer window and lasts longer than a few weeks. there will be reasons the transfers haven't happened. we want to keep them for Euro squad first tie, club know we want rid so are in no rush to get deal over line or they have other targets. they want to wait till end to drive a hard bargain. teams seem to be interested in what are decent enough players even if our fans don't rate them; then again who do our fans rate. players will move on and if they don't we put them on loan and at least get some of their wages paid.

Angus a lot of players not in euro squad so that doesn't wash that excuse.
20 Jul 2025 10:18:20
Some players are keeping there Options open by staying until near the end of the Transfer Window. After all, they are still picking up a wage, deserved or not.

Good post Angus and very true ?.
20 Jul 2025 10:33:54
I stole his log in details and IP address fork… ?.
20 Jul 2025 10:38:36
Angus other than King none of these players are in the euro squad. Some I don't even believe are training with us now. We were led to believe the cub rejected half the fee agreed for Cifuentes now talk of paying him off. You would have thought Birmingham would have took Davies as well but not even put a bid in.
20 Jul 2025 11:15:13
Lol good to c u back on bud?.
20 Jul 2025 11:28:50
Because we over pay to get them here in first place.
20 Jul 2025 11:43:47
For a player to leave there has to be interest from another Club and that Club must meet Rangers valuations … more importantly the player needs to agree to the move, clubs getting rid of players surplus to requirements is not easy … especially if they've under performed. There is no magic wand to wave here. It might go to the end of the window with some going out on loan rather than he sold. Even those not in the Euro squad might be hard to shift even if they know their time is up.
20 Jul 2025 11:49:16
Angus your obviously talking about guys like dio, raskin, iga and dessers when you say keep for the first tie? How some say but they aren't in the euro squad, well there not kept for that reason then, maybe one of the other reasons angus gave might apply to them. He did give a few reasons.
Or am I picking that up wrong angus?
Shakey welcome back lad, it's difficult to stay away eh? ?.
20 Jul 2025 12:43:24
True lmac.
20 Jul 2025 13:01:12
Yes BB I am talking about them all. there will be REASONS in the plural (BB that is for the others who chose only to see the Euro one ?) . we will be the same have targets identified but for reasons we can't or won't move.
Mccausland has interest reportedly from 3 clubs. Birmingham have said publicly that they would like Davies. Greek team wanted Cifuentes but we wanted more cash (could the come in late if no-one else wants him) Matondo is injured. King had a bid from Wycombe but wants to look at his options. that might mean he is aware of other interest.
I think there are always a significant portion of transfer deals happen in last week or two of window as players start to move and teams realise they will be stuck with them. Club will be relaxed on this it is just the fans who panic.
20 Jul 2025 13:11:42
Why would clubs move for players when we can pay their wages for a few months?
20 Jul 2025 13:57:19
Yeah agree there's just so many reasons why mate, although it doesn't look great atm, most will definitely go in last couple of weeks. It only takes a couple of transfers to happen elsewhere for it to cause a chain reaction. All we can do as a club is have talks if there is any and have our valuation, other than that it's down to other teams.
