Brilliant decision and announcements from the club to make Ibrox the home venue for the Women's team.

Do you think this will have a negative effect on the playing quality into the winter months mate?

25 Jun 2025 11:26:54
Of the pitch*.

25 Jun 2025 11:32:09
GMW - the grounds team were consulted and approved the decision, so I assume they're comfortable with it.

25 Jun 2025 11:55:59
As soon as the pitch starts ripping up it'll be the women's fault. Hopefully get a new manager in soon.

25 Jun 2025 11:59:21
Nice one mate, hopefully this helps bring the women's team on then.

25 Jun 2025 12:49:13
As much as I like the idea of it to double up games on our pitch during harsh weather is foolish, also crowds don't merit the need to do so now, hopefully it works out but I'm very sceptical.

25 Jun 2025 13:17:14
GJD, there is a lot more behind the decision than the crowds.

25 Jun 2025 13:42:28
The ground care team are going to want big bucks once the pitch is torn up with so many extra games.

25 Jun 2025 14:01:01
The pitch was looking class last season. I'm surprised by this shout.

25 Jun 2025 14:11:52
Try not to dismiss the ladies team because I am not a fan of the women's game, but not keen on this for same reasons mentioned.

Worry about the pitch and would be an empty stadium. If the pitch degrades during the season it won't get the rest needed to recover, having 2 games back to back on it regularly increases chance of that. Not worth the risk and criticism that will definitely come if that happens.

25 Jun 2025 15:04:48
EHL, I suppose the main driver here is the cost of hiring broadwood stadium?

25 Jun 2025 15:40:17
No Zikos, it's not even a consideration.

25 Jun 2025 16:05:33
EHL is the style/ type of football we want the women's team to play and evolve a factor in playing at Ibrox?

25 Jun 2025 17:01:12
Surprised by that EHL, are you permitted to say what a couple of the drivers are?

Genuinely can't think of any other reason other than costs.

I don't think it will give them any kind of competitive advantage?

Will the women be palying in the EPL.
