Good to finally see Connor Barron in a Scotland jersey yesterday and thought he did well albeit the opposition was only Liechtenstein. Was impressed too by Lennon Miller, who also spoke well after the game. The next club that signs him is going to see his stock rise and make themselves some serious money. Fingers crossed it's us!
10 Jun 2025 14:49:27
I've got a bad feeling Miller will end up at them.
10 Jun 2025 15:48:18
Same brandy hope not and he signs for the famous does anyone know if Rangers still fishing around the lad?
10 Jun 2025 16:12:15
Not sure we can afford the money they want for him.
10 Jun 2025 16:41:40
Personally don't see the hype for miller at the moment.
10 Jun 2025 16:51:20
Very good footballer, think some forget what age he is, that boy goes very far in the game and signing for them is not a good thing.
10 Jun 2025 17:07:35
I get where your coming from Asa, remember watching U21 game with Barron, Cameron and Miller as the midfield. Barron outshone the other two by some margin. Miller was the least impressive of the 3.
But he is a good bit younger than the other 2 and he does look to have a higher potential for growth. He would probably be the better in terms of future fee we could get but the other 2 are more likely to positively impact the team right away.
Since he will cost a good amount I am not sure it's the best way to spend that money at this time with all the other work on our squad that needs done.
10 Jun 2025 17:37:03
My star, would he make our starting 11?
10 Jun 2025 17:37:27
Agree My Star. The same was said about Scott Brown and he'd have done for us what he did for them. We let Lewis Ferguson slip from under our noses if we can get him at a reasonable price we should at least ask the question.
10 Jun 2025 17:41:34
Personal opinion 100% yes Mark.
10 Jun 2025 17:47:28
Mark He's only 18 mate and I'm having him in my side before Barron, think Barron will have a good career as well and will only improve.
10 Jun 2025 17:51:29
Let me remind you anout the next Zidane, David Turnbull.
10 Jun 2025 18:12:24
Turnbull has nothing like the capability Miller has Tjbb.
10 Jun 2025 18:31:15
Thanks, my star.
TBH, i know little about him.
10 Jun 2025 18:39:39
I get transfer budget is tight but I'd sign Miller. 5 year deal with loaning him back to motherwell next season, possibly re evaluate the following season and another loan to motherwell. Boys gona be a star. Think 4m gets him but that could be lower with re loaning him. Possibly nsiala loan also for a year. Deals to be had.
10 Jun 2025 19:10:10
Davie, I'd be against buying a player to loan out for a year. We need this summer's signings to make a impact with us.
10 Jun 2025 19:11:44
Miller is going to be the next big name in Scottish football, if we could sign him now we will make a fortune on him in a few years. He is such a mature footballer for his age and anybody thinks he wouldn't get into our team and would be loaned out obviously hasn't been watching the crap that I have for the last few years.
Hope he doesn't make the same mistake as Turnbull and go to the club who kills young Scottish talent . If he doesn't come to Rangers I just hope he he goes abroad to develop his talent.
10 Jun 2025 19:15:21
I have said it before, I hope for Millers sake he doesn't sign for us.
He need the freedom to develop his game - which he won't get with us.
10 Jun 2025 19:27:16
TJB I agree and every time Turnbull is mentioned about what the other side of POTENTIAL looks like you get another excuse. it is potential you pay for it and it sometimes doesn't work. Freddy Adu, Ravel Morrison, Bojan Krkic, Federico Machedo. so it is just potential and might not succeed. he may have reached his ceiling and no-one will know until it happens. Is £5M a gamble we can afford at this point. Oh and had a bootle of wine and some potential bad news about my dog so spare me the I know a player when I see one crap.
10 Jun 2025 19:43:42
No chance we are paying £4m for a player and loaning him back out for a year.
10 Jun 2025 20:17:26
Would rather spend the money on miller knows the league. Knows what freezing cold Dingwall is like in January than an unknown player like the Brazilian midfielder metinho we have been linked with.
10 Jun 2025 20:21:39
Sorry to hear that bud, hope your wee furry buddy pulls through mate?.
10 Jun 2025 20:43:55
Hahahaha, that wee Brazilian is currently playing in Switzerland - where I'd wager that it gets a little chillier than Dingwall.
10 Jun 2025 21:31:51
EHL that's some statement. that he won't get the freedom to develop his game. What's the thinking behind that mate?
10 Jun 2025 22:22:50
Cheers Fork.
10 Jun 2025 22:27:45
Scotty IMO it is obvious that any player who plays for either of the OF is given little leeway for mistakes. if they take a chance and it doesn't come off or if they don't control a ball or if they don't score from a chance the fans think they should score then they are rubbish. our academy has issues but on the law of averages we should be developing more players from there but youth needs to be given that chance and they can't get it because of that need for instant success.
so Miller therefore would be better to go away from the OF to develop. harsh but potentially true.
10 Jun 2025 22:42:38
EHL - that slightly backfired for me! I was trying to say for me paying the money for miller would imo be a better use of funds as is proven in the league than an unknown player.
11 Jun 2025 07:14:34
Scotty, I'm not sure how much you've watched him at Motherwell, but he makes a lot of mistakes, according to the data around 20-25 per game.
He can get away with that at Motherwell and providing he's got the right support network he'll use that to improve - both in terms of technically and decision making.
Unfortunately, he would never get away with that in a Rangers jersey - putting it on to context, Jefte has our most mistakes and it's nowhere near those numbers.
Kid needs to be playing and needs to continue his development in an environment that allows him to do so.
