I find it strange folk saying we need someone in the middle to partner Dio and Raskin….
As a midfield in the SPFL they weren't good enough. We need an upgrade with those 2 having to fight for a place back in the team.
Both of those lads are pretty average No. 8s (Raskin is a good 6 and We don't really need to play with a 6 in most games) we need 2 good 8s and a 10.

If seriously doubt we'll be upgrading on Dio and Raskin.
If anything we'll down grade and develop.
As for not playing with a 6 - I'm not sure I've watched a game of football on the last 5 years where the teams didn't play with at least one 6.
In fact, I have a feeling RM will bring back the much loved (sarcasm) double pivot.

EHL, he normally only has 1 pivot 2 advanced if he plays 3 centre mids mate, been watching a lot of highlights of his teams, why I'm getting more confident he'll break these teams down.

Dio has been good in the bigger games against Celtic/ Europe etc, but he goes missing or doesn't have a big impact in 90% of our other games against the smaller teams. Yes he has ability but he needs to show it in a more consistent basis imo.
He's improved in the 18months he's been here and I'm hoping that upward trend will continue.
Raskins last 6 month has been really good and I think he'll only improve.
I'm excited to see what Cameron can bring, I think he'll surprise a few people.

Storm his most used formation is 433, 1 pivot why if Coady was signed I could see him being that pivot.

We will be predominantly 4-3-3.
We'll have two core set ups - one double pivot and one single pivot.
In game we will also revert to 3-4-3, although it's unlikely we'll see much of this until later in the season.

The double Pivot allowed Tav and Barasic to do their best work, Jack and Kamara were both at their best in the role as well IMO.

EHL, Celtic don't play with a 6. Also we didn't play with a 6 under Gerrard, played with 3 central mids with 2 number 10s ahead of them.
If your defenders are comfortable with the ball and the opposition doesn't play a 10, then no need for a 6.
All it does is make you taker in the middle of the park, which we have been the last couple of years.

Mcgregor is playing as a 6 for Celtic Hatate and Engles more advanced zikos.

Zikos, Celtic play with one 6 in the SPL and two in the Champions League.
Stevie G predominantly played with two 6.
I think you may be misunderstanding the definition of the 6.

It certainly isn't McGregor. Yes he goes deep to get the ball off the defence but then he is driving in the middle of the park and causing issues in the final third.
Sounds more like an 9 to me - more box to box.
Whereas both Dio and Raskin offer very little in the middle to final third.
My initial point is we need more from the midfield, more end product. Goals and assists.
I've not checked stats but image Celtic have about 30 goals from midfield and image we have less than 10.
