A wee question for everyone
We're all assuming the 49ers will have done their homework by now on the club so will know what their walking into
They should also know by now what path they want the club to go down and what manager will help them and us get to where they want us to be and I'm sure their will be a timeline of targets they will want to hit.
I don't think they will be so easily persuaded to drop a manager if some results go against them they will have a plan and timeframe and as long as their seeing progress I reckon the next manger once again will get the time to build a squad and mold it into a winning team
We don't know for 100% certainty who the next manager will be but who ever it is gets appointed will be backed by the board and fans who may or may not want them to start with will come on board when results start showing true progress
We need the right players so the recruiting needs to be spot on if that part is done correctly I feel everything else falls into place
As long as we have a squad fit and healthy ready to give it's all throughout the course of a season and we see a sustained challenge will give everyone confidence we're making progress and we build on it
With the appointment of Thelwell and his experience he brings
the takeover going to be competed in the near future I think we will be in safe hands and we will have a club once again we all recognise and fans will be united behind it
Just have a gut feeling we're going to turn a huge corner may take time but it has to start somewhere and I reckon it will start this summer and every Bear is going to be a happy one
I can't wait til it all kicks off and gets started and I reckon that starts re day the takeover is completed
I'm finding my positivity and confidence on this can't wait ?.

They will have a 5 year plan, biggest problem is majority of fans expect things to be great in 5 weeks.

Thestig, sorry are you hoping 100% of signings pay off. that isn't going to happen so mistakes will still happen. will the fans have the patience you suggest they will, i won't hold my breath.

Stig, the review in to the operation of the club that was carried out by the 49ers is effectively the foundation that the club will be built on.
In short this highlighted five things;
1. Where we are currently operating on, or above, the curve.
2. Where we're currently operating below the curve.
3. What initiatives are in-flight/ planned that align to the curve.
4. What initiatives are in-flight/ planned that aren't aligned to the curve
5. Gaps against our operation and the curve.
The curve being benchmarks against other clubs / businesses of our size.
Believe it or not a lot of what was found from a footballing perspective was very positive and the biggest plus is that we will have the resources to accelerate delivery.
Commercially though, it wasn't so positive, so there is a lot of work required from that side.
There was also a lot of praise around our impact socially - which is a big deal for the 49ers group, and may explain why the club are now being more vocal around the banners and UBs.

At least they will appoint the appropriate people for their designated jobs and also make decisions with their heads and not with their hearts.

Its not 5 weeks tho blue is it? Its been god awful for the best part of 15 years now people have run out of patience. Unless people see change and big change i don't think much will change in the toxic fans eyes.
Going to be a long interesting summer.

remember actually reading that about the comparing benchmarks against other clubs
so looking forward to see us progress again going forward and watch the club grow in stature again after some disappointing seasons domestically
Also looking forward to seeing the commercial side grow under the 49ers too open us up to a new fan base I reckon
Look at Wrexham since they were taken over think they doubled their fan base overnight and still growing watched a lot of the episodes always got a feel good factor watching them and how Ryan and Rob started the journey with them.

Next manager needs to be correct and he will need 3/ 4 windows but I doubt they will get unless the fans can see progress.

When the take over is completed will all our existing Directors who made loans to club to keep club going and those loans converted to shares, will these shares be bought off Directors and anyone else who gave loans to club With Rangers not part of any listings, how are these shares priced.
