A question for everyone off the back of a post by Dado got me thinking
(sorry Dado not trying to hijack your post mate)
Just thought I start a fresh one so everyone sees it before your one went right down the pages.
I think the league was the main focal point that players we have identified in the past have turned us down, however does anything else think with the 49ers takeover and a keen interest from Tony Bloom to invest money into hearts and the Gordon family with Hibs
we may see a resurgence in our league over the coming years and we will be able to start enticing a better overall quality of player?
Even Aberdeen investing a bit more into their management and squad
We all sort of downplay our league which has been justified at times over the last good few years
However could we see more investment now coming forth which in turn can only improve it going forward the 49ers huge name that alone brings commercial recognition could we see more coming forward like Tony Bloom wanting to invest into hearts
I think we might actually be entering exciting times in the coming years guys regarding our league up here ??.

Better quality players, come at a premium price, not enough money coming into scottish football, sky will not up there deal, only see scottish football as cheap option to pad out there schedule, they pay more for women's football.

Both Rangers and seltic need strong hearts, hibs, sheep etc teams make the league more interesting and quality games week in week out.

I think the only ways better players come to the league is for over the top wages. the other enticement is a proven route to the EPL or other top 5 league. the people you mention identify up and coming talent to better their teams short-term but to sell on at a profit. having more decent teams in the league all trying to win improves the product for the fans and possibly TV so players may be more aware of the league.

Always talk of a European league in the future. 49ers could see this as as an investment that could really pay off down the line.

No on the quality of players maybe a slight increase in quality but they still want the money and 10 million to hearts and whatever we get isn't going to tempt a lot of quality players as you are still playing teams 4 times a season (boring as hell) and still play in Scotland.

I suppose winning the league and getting access to champions league also helps entice a higher quality of player if your willing to pay the money
Really looking forward to seeing who the manager is and what players we get to build on.
