Just how long can this shambles go on?

I really like Clement and so so wanted him to succeed but this just isn't getting any better.

After 11 games we have been out scored by Celtic, Aberdeen, Dundee, Dundee United and St Mirren.

We have scored the same amount of goals as St Johnstone who are third bottom and didn't spend a penny in the summer yet we spent millions.

We were told the team would show improvement in October but we're now in November and we're awful to watch.

I doubt any team comes to Ibrox fearing us at the moment and the fact we offer so little up front makes them more willing to open up and come at us.

It's incredible that a team that looked odds on for the title last season could become so bad.

Big changes are needed to sort this mess.

Lost details so had to set up new account- Was FranktheTank.

Work in progress according to some. Spent 14mill in summer and somehow worse than beales side.

11 Nov 2024 19:15:51
He is frustrating every fan with his formation, tactics, starting squad, substitutions and we know sacking him would break our bank.

11 Nov 2024 19:19:37
I've lost all faith in Clement.

11 Nov 2024 19:39:11
Goalscoring is a problem.
Barjrami at No10.
Jefte LW
Sign a goalscoring midfielder in January and add another striker to the squad
Flexibility in what formation we play.

Clement said in August that the team would be better come October / November and he was right, it is . We drew with Hearts back then we`ve just beat them so that's better.
There is no way that the team is worse than Beales team and I don`t know where the £14 million spend figure comes from, even counting Diomande it is nowhere near that and is a lot less than Beale spent the summer before and GVB the summer before that.
During the summer we lost more than a team full of experienced talent that needed to be replaced with a greatly reduced transfer budget and a reduction in wages being paid that negates one way we had of attracting even free transfers. No manager has had they restrictions since pre Gerrard.

11 Nov 2024 19:51:46
The football being played is worse than Beales. Without a doubt.

11 Nov 2024 20:02:42
Ok guys cut to the chase who do we bring in as philippe clement's replacement?I now honestly think that derek mcinnes will be our next manager ?.

11 Nov 2024 20:30:58
He is our manager back the way we go sws.

11 Nov 2024 20:37:03
It's frustrating to watch or listen to, but clement seems happy that we dominate the stats, possession etc, but 100% possession is a waste if nothing is done with it. We don't seem to have anyone capable of having a shot from any distance, and that is killing us, part from the slow build up play. The team seem to hit and hope, leaving us fans " hoping " things can get better!

11 Nov 2024 20:39:53
Well Walter if it’s Mcinness we have decided to be a top four team.

11 Nov 2024 20:59:54
Wsl. It was 14 million
Diomande, bajrami, propper, igamane, jefte, and 1.5mill loan fee for cerny, and still have to pay for barron yet. It was actually 14.1 mill. Beale spent 21 mill on duds. Clement not far behind.

11 Nov 2024 21:24:46
That's a nonsense comment John. You are better than that.

11 Nov 2024 21:50:02
Clement said October November December only meaning it will improve with players getting too know how others play, few months isn't much time.

11 Nov 2024 21:55:30
Clement and Koppen are both experienced at building and rebuilding squads, winning trophies and embedding a player training model.

Unfortunately they.

11 Nov 2024 22:34:21
How was that, I’m entitled to my opinion, this would be a horrendous appointment, good thing is we could pay wim 25% of what we paid last four.

I and my family would never pay corporate tickets again if that’s the standard we r aiming for.

Our club is getting smaller and smaller, three trophies every ten years, get used to it.

11 Nov 2024 23:23:58
EHL you mean they won't get time?

12 Nov 2024 06:00:04
As a matter of interest who would your choice be then John ? if clement doesn't turn things around ?I'm still giving clement my support for now but we need to start improving fast.

12 Nov 2024 06:26:21
I agree with John, it would be a terrible appointment. If it’s Mcinnes I give up.

12 Nov 2024 07:15:14
Here's the thing SWS, who would take it bud, seems an awful lot of background stuff going on, plus payoffs for PC n staff then funding a new gaffer, who would prob want a kitty, seems unlikely for now bud, not impossible but unlikely?.

12 Nov 2024 08:10:43
John, I completely agree. It would be a terrible appointment.

12 Nov 2024 08:51:32
While I wouldn’t choose mccinnes personally I don’t think he would be anywhere near as bad as some seem to believe

John what was your reaction to mccleish?

I tipped him for the job for many months before hand actually.
Was told he was the only manager in Scotland wee dick would allow in his office to share a drink after games:
That always stuck with me and that’s why I tipped him, out of nowhere he got it.

We’re u as against eck as u are del?

He’s not my choice but he’d be a lot better than PC.

12 Nov 2024 08:58:48
The club as a whole is a disaster.
No one is actually good at their job at the club.

Someone talking about the talent that left in the summer. behave. we all wanted rid of Goldson, Lunny, Roofe, Lammers and Jack and the rest.
Cantwell is a sore one for me but that's Clement not being about to manage him.

And if we are going to keep playing Tav and Dessers then we aren't going to improve or win anything of merit.

Another poster said we drew with hearts at start of season and now we beat them so we are getting better, what about last season when we pumped them 5-0 in February 2024 LOL. So we are actually worse then.

12 Nov 2024 09:43:23
Sorry MyStar, hit reply by accident before I finished.

Unfortunately they are starting the rebuild from a significant disadvantage and where they're used to fans in Belgium and Holland having patience - our fans aren't used to it.

They're hear for the long hall and have a plan that will see us succeed, the plan requires time and money though - neither of which are associated with us.

12 Nov 2024 09:47:28
Walter I don’t have a choice as we have a manager, we r trying to restructure everything, so we need to grow a set.

12 Nov 2024 09:48:58
Stevie welcomed with open arms, mcinnes is same morals as sheridans pal.

12 Nov 2024 10:47:53
I agree with your post stevieG2 ? As much as derek mcinnes wouldn't be my first choice to be our next manager, were rangers to part company with clement, how does anyone know that derek mcinnes would fail and wouldn't make a good rangers manager ?We don't know and yes i remember the low key stance with our supporters when big alex mcleish got appointed our manager in 2001 and look how that turned out and against a very good martin o'neill celtic team ?So i don't agree were mcinnes appointed our next manager that would mean we'd just be a top 4 club John ? Football doesn't work like that mate and mcinnes could well be a good appointment, you just never know ?.

12 Nov 2024 11:56:28
I'm aligned with John . it would be an appointment that would show what our aspirations are .

12 Nov 2024 13:17:41
So Walter you employ a manager on say 10k, instead of 40k we have paid last four we r not downsizing

Or would u pay mcinness 40 k a week.

12 Nov 2024 13:42:37
Agreed EHL, they need time but probably will not get it.

12 Nov 2024 13:55:46
It's probably not just Mcinnes if we went for him, his staff of Sheerin, Archibald and maybe the goalkeeping coach would likely come too, that's not counting paying PC, Koppen, Rae et al off. A tad expensive I think?.

12 Nov 2024 20:03:54
We are suffering very badly for all the bad transfer windows we had trying to please managers who especially in their first few months had us lured into thinking they were the men to lead us back to the top. Every window over the last 4 or 5 yrs left us weaker coming out rather than stronger .

The windows saw us buying players of the same standard as we already had . We built up a number of players for each position, unfortunately we weren’t improving. When PC came we were completely overloaded with many if not most players not fit to wear Rangers shirt . Many of these were aged mid 30’s and out of contact last June . We can’t blame Clement for the total mess our squad was, it peaked last season with just LCup to show .

Clement had to clear decks of a large number of mostly deadwood and soon found out he had to fund new players from the sales of players no club wanted . It’s no surprise that Clement is still trying to get the squad up to last season’s standard which is well short of what we want .

After the money that was wasted in the last 8/ 9 windows before the summer and with UEFA’s new Financial rules, it’s going to take some time and careful buying if players to lift us up again.
