Great night bears - but one concern was yet again a blind hoof up the middle sees our CBs stranded. Seem to remember them doing exactly the same at Pittodrie when Miovski scored an almost identical goal then. If we are going to hold a high line, then we need a CB with at least a modicum of pace . With hindsight a cheeky bid for Miovski might have been a good move, 20 for the season, with nice composed finish last night.

When we have 8 men attacking and pushed high up the park these things can happen. Yes Goldson should have done better and yes we have conceded similar goals in the past. But what is the alternative? Buy another 4 centre half’s and see if they are any better? Play 2 holding midfielders who sit deep? Don’t let our full backs push forward?

Aberdeen would price us out a move for him. We have conceded almost half our league goals this season in 3 games v aberdeen.

Same happened vs Junglies when Kyogo punished us - a clearance from us and a header back over the 2 CBacks and hey presto caught on our heels - pace is key but being able to read a game or player is also priority - Goldson allowed him to cover ball on his favoured left hand side if Goldson had shown him the other side Miovski is not good with right peg -all ifs and buts -IF my granny had baws she'd have been my grandpa etc etc? All in all a good result but if we are more clinical up top then we would not pick on odd mistake at back - as they make mistakes at back but normally they can take plenty chances up top and relieve any pressure - hopefully not tonight though?.

A lot on Goldson which I somewhat get but he came across to at least challenge (poorly) . That goal is on both CBs for me.

Silva if tav keeps doing it he has probably been instructed to do so. Or do you think the players do what they want and the gaffer is cool with that.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that Miowski was very clever in that he had a grip on Goldson's shirt out of sight of the Ref and Lineo. VAR could have intervened but it would have been more than harsh in my view, Goldson had a grip on him as well.

Now having said all that, we are definitely getting caught too many times on that kind of ball over the top. McCann called it last night when he said it looked a planned move.

I know he has been great for us but I feel that Butland should take his share of the blame for the goal. I think he should have been further off his line and able to come and collect the ball when it dropped into the box, that would have stopped Miovski getting to the ball and helped out Goldson . As far as signing Miovski with a " wee cheeky bid", get real, there is no way Aberdeen would have sold us their best player in January unless we made a massive bid, way over what he`s worth . He does look a better player than Shankland though.

Its a tricky one Baz. If you sit deep to avoid the ball over the top, then you invite attack and space opens up in midfield. Not our style. Push too high and its an easy run for the #9 like last night. We can't fix the pace issue now (but any summer CB purchase must) but our 2 CBs cannot let a #9 sit between them with 1 or 2 yards of space. I'd like to see one CB stick tight on the #9 to physically block runs and sense any movement . and both CBs to move the offside line a little to keep the #9 unsettled.

Aberdeen were instructed to block the wings you seen them flooding the side of pitch first half when we got the ball. Its smart from clement to move fullbacks infield and create underlaps to combat this. And it worked but for some poor finishing. With a deadly striker we will be lethal under clement.

Miovski had the nouse to get on the right side of Goldson and the strength to hold him off and nice finish, Aberdeen will sell in summer down south, we have a bit of snobbery as have Celtic about putting big money for someone in our league and his price will be too high for both come summer.
