I did ask the question about people's thoughts on our set pieces this season & didn't get a answer. I think they have been pretty poor compared to last season, deliveries seem fine but there's a lack of anything happening other than try to get Fernandez to head it.

I think generally they've been poor DJB. A lot of failing to beat the first man which sort of regresses to the pre-Scott Fry days. We now have a really imposing, physical squad and I really hope we invest some time and effort into the set pieces with a good coach because I think it can be a real source of goals for us.

I think we've been much better defensively, which is where a lot of the time has been spent.
Heard we're bring Tav back as set piece coach.

Correct Kaiser. McInnes has already talked about how poor we have been offensively at set pieces and the need to work on that so it is something the coaching staff are very aware of. And yes I believe it was stated when Ireland joined that it was only to be temporary, so the fact he has now left would suggest that we have probably agreed a deal with someone else to come in.
Either than or the coaching staff are wanting to take responsibility for it themselves 🤷.

I said it last season when Tav, Barron and Meghoma went out the side there was drop off in the goals scored because the delivery was so poor, we tried everybody, Rommens, Moore, Sjkov Olsen, Aasgaard, none of them were any good. Its been the same this season nobody except maybe Penrice has been able to put good balls in the box.
Maybe Bouanani will improve things when he starts playing. Maybe we should let Gassama take them, then at least even if they are rubbish he is getting the practice that he so badly needs.

I was hoping Austin MacPhee might be in the frame but as he's only recently joined Chelsea, it's more than unlikely.

Austin Macphee is a big fish now and won't be back to the small pond which is Scottish football any time soon.

Aaron Briggs is someone who has not been picked up from what I have noticed, and would IMO be a good fit for set piece coach.
