The current situation is no good for anybody. Presumably his options for leaving are now much more restricted, but there's no point in him rotting on the bench. If Jack Hendry is anything to go by, he could head off to Saudi etc. and still get picked for the National Team. But maybe that's wishful thinking on my part!

I'm surprised Souttar didn't leave this window. I know there was interest but was there any offers? Is he just happy collecting his large wage? Did he fail any medicals?
