Look at how many experienced players we've had over the years who have been crap. Experience doesn't equal quality.
Butland threw many points away last season.
Souttar wasn't great.
Everyone on Tavs back.
Shankland is experienced and can't get a game.
Ben Davies sent out on loan year after year.
Tom Lawrence injury prone.

I argued with loads on here about signing Scottish players who knew the league, and tbh, outwith Penrice they have all disappointed, so, for me, I would just be signing good players, don't care what age or where they come from.
The best signings so far this summer have come from the MLS and is not experienced in Makhana and for me Dragojevic also looks a real quality addition, and I think his countrymen will turn out to be one too.
More signings like them please as long as they have the mentality it doesn't matter what age they are.

I agree that as long as they have quality, and the right mentality, all this buying from the league and prioritising Scots is nonsense, and it has been shown to be true. We need quality to compete with Celtic, both in management and on the field, and we have failed again this summer. It is summed up for me by signing a right back who, a few weeks later, is now 3rd choice, and bringing in Devlin, who we all knew would get into bother, and has now been sent off in Europe.
I still can't get my head round forcing Barron, a guy who is Scottish, knows the league and has Rangers DNA, out the door to accommodate Devlin. The money being mentioned for Barron, and the clubs being linked, show that he is more highly rated, so why let him go?

GrantHL, according to Chris Jack it won't be Rayan Fofana, mate, as he's saying he's well down the target list of strikers we're looking at. 🤔 Jack goes on to state that Kevin Kelsy and another unnamed striker are the ones under serious consideration by Rangers. 🤔 I wonder who this other striker is. 🤔

I'd prefer any player that comes in to have an option to buy, I'm not a fan of developing other teams' players if we can at all help it. And personally, while he seems a bit awkward on the park, I'd be giving Naderi game time to develop, I think he has a lot of attributes - we just need to give him more service.

What people should note is Rangers have made no enquiry re Fofana. His agent offered him to us, as some will know, we need a 9.
He was never on our list.
