EHL a few weeks ago you posted regarding Lewis Ferguson saying Rangers know what a deal requires and its realistically achievable

A deal for Ferguson was never going to happen.
This was confirmed by his Dad, Derek, on one of the social media football shows.
"Rangers knew the price was EUR15-20m but were not prepared to spend that on one player."

It's not happening, his dad seemed to be quite annoyed about the whole situation. He'll come here when he's 30-32.

I think AC wanted it and so did Lewis, but we expected bids for Raskin, Chermiti, Manny and Diomande at that time.
If all them happen we buy Lewis imo.

Sorry, I think people are missing the purpose of this post.
It's about understanding the financial position.
If we were aware of what the deal involved, and financially it's achievable, then it opens up other possibilities elsewhere.

If Raskin leaves and we get a fee of £20m or thereabouts, then there is a real possibility of Ferguson being purchased. He improved a lot playing under McInnes previously and would be happy to sign.
He's on around £17k per week wages, so there would be no issue in that sense.
I think bids for Raskin will come towards the end of the window and then Ferguson deal is a real possibility.

If we got 20 mill for Raskin. It would be extremely foolish to go blast 17 of it on Ferguson. Considering we're not exactly loaded.

Goram, I don't think anything has changed on this one.
We know how much the deal will cost & Ferguson is open to the move.
There are a lot of moving parts, and a lot would need to happen to trigger it, and as we approach the end of the window, it becomes less likely.

He'd be worth his weight in gold to Rangers. £15m fee would be quickly forgotten. It's just a shame they couldn't get him in to be the captain.

£17m has been quoted, we don't know, that could be 17m euros. We might have a bit of movement on price if they are happy to sell. He's now a squad player rather than 1st pick.
If we sold Rakin for £20m and got Lewis in with profit, I think that would be good business.

I've certainly had my doubts about the £20-25million valuations, but Raskin certainly isn't honking, captain's armband really suited the boy on Sunday and I think he genuinely loves the club.
As for other huge valuations, Fernandez I am not going to defend if anyone calls him honking, guy gives me the absolute fear and, unlike Raskin, he genuinely looks like he doesn't care, anyone who'd £15million for him is certifiably insane so if we get £30million I'll take that lol.
