The biggest problem we now have is that clubs know we are desperate for a striker, so we may end up paying well over the odds.
Maybe better to loan a player or go for a free agent. Tbh, I'd rather make do than get this wrong for the moment; there could be better options that materialise closer to the end of the window.
We still have to balance the books or we will end up deeper in the s***.

Hoth_Cloudfire, we could go for a quick fix with a loan for Jamie Vardy. Heard he's a free agent atm, but that was last week I heard, so might have been snapped up by now, plus his wages would probably be a big issue.

Vardy is still a free agent. I would take him for the season, look how Defoe done. Wages wouldn't/shouldn't be too much of an issue as there's no loan or transfer fee.

Piroe did an interview recently, where he spoke of clubs interested in loaning him, but he was determined to stay put and prove he could do well in EPL.
Based on that, sounds like the player is not keen on a move to SPL.

Bigbluejim, Zagreb want around 20m for Beljo, with Benfica apparently interested. He is simply just a pipe dream, especially after Chermiti's injury ruling him out of a big money move.
