I posted previously - can't remember my password. As with last time, can't share source, believe it or not, it hardly matters.
Ferguson isn't coming, regardless of any sales. We offered him the captaincy and he was very tempted, but it's just too early in his career for the move. Still wants to go to the Premier League or a big club in Italy. Ferguson's contract does expire next year, and Rangers haven't lost hope of getting them then, but it's considered very doubtful.
Raskin is taking his time for his move. Don't need any sources to figure that out - but from what I've been told, don't expect him to go any time soon. He's in no rush. Likely to be towards the end of the window.
Don't expect too many others to go either. The interest just isn't there for anyone except Raskin and Souttar for those we want out, and we don't want to sell Chermiti or Fernandez, and we don't anticipate getting an offer big enough to sell them.
Dahl is currently waiting for Raskin to go. Likely to be at the end of the window, but he wants us. Assuming a more attractive offer doesn't randomly come his way, it's just a waiting game with him.
Cerny is likely a non-goer. Earns too much in Turkiye. We do want him but it'd require Besiktas to give him money to leave.

Ferguson's contract has 2 years left to run, which takes it to 2028 and not next year. Don't need a source as that is directly from his agent in the press when he started this palaver about him willing to come to us at some point.
If the source gets the basics wrong, then not sure how much else of it I would believe. 🤷

Lol, you're right, Angus, just checked. I was just told Rangers had hope for Ferguson's contract expiry and assumed it must be up next year. Bit of a weird one if it's not up until 2028, but that was what I was told.

I'm not being funny, I would take him the now, if 3/4 years it would probably be a now, he would be on the downwards curve and be onto too much money. I think if Ferguson does not come this season then he never will.

Storm, you are right as there is word there is an extra year they can trigger and almost put that tbh. But went with what his agent said to show that the original source was talking BS. Rest falls into same pot from that point on.
imo, not only has the ship sailed, it never reached the port to start with. Fans fell for the line from the agent on him joining at some point in the future.

What's the story? As much as I don't rate Soapy a first pick for us, I do rate him a more than decent back up.
He'll do for me as back up for this season when if then like us to try get Porteous.
If actually try for that in January or when his MLS season is over, as I think he'd be a great
Replacement for Manny. I really do rate him.
