Raskin rumours.
Raskin is due back for training on Friday as per FIFA rules in regards to time off after tournament.
His preferred option is one of the top 5 leagues.
A couple of Greek and Turkish teams have shown an interest but he won't entertain them ( at this point ).
Rangers are also open to a loan with an obligation to buy as they have already made plans for his departure.
Raskin himself will not be forced out - it will be on his terms. Similar to what he did when he left Standard Liege to come to us.

He's officially back in training Thursday.
One of the first team confirmed it yesterday.
I doubt we see him play for the club again.

I have a feeling he won't move and this will hold up or kill our plans for this season.
28 Jul 2026 09:56:01
Reported Roma are leading the race with Villareal close behind.
28 Jul 2026 09:58:56
He absolutely will move. Don't want to say too much, but he already said his goodbyes essentially at the end of last season.
The move has to be right for him, but he will be away by the end of the window if not sooner now.
28 Jul 2026 10:12:45
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't move on this window.
WhatsTheStory, you say he will absolutely move, but then go on to say it has to be right for him.
What if what's right for him doesn't come in? Will he move to Greece or Turkey just to get away? Will he remain in an huff, and just collect a wage whilst either not playing or not giving his all for Rangers?
28 Jul 2026 10:23:03
He will get a move.
I don't think it'll be to some elite club, but it'll be to a top league. Spain is the likely landing point.
Now, the sides from there interested don't traditionally pay big fees, so the max I reckon could be around the 20m euro mark with add ons.

Good intel, What's the story.
He had verbally agreed personal terms with a team in Spain pre the World Cup.
His team have been instructed as to the min fee the club will accept, which forms part of the numbers they are working around.
I was told this was min £18mil prior to the World Cup.
Since his World Cup performances, where his profile has been elevated, there are a few other teams who have now entered talks with his team.
He has options, so just a case of finalizing his preferred destination. I feel that may now be Italy, where he has more than one option.
This info direct from someone close to his management team.

If he doesn't go, we keep our best player, and his value increases again when we lift the league trophy.
28 Jul 2026 11:13:21
I don't think we'll increase his value if he goes into his last year, R1?
28 Jul 2026 11:29:00
I don't see how him leaving on a loan, even with an obligation to buy, would fit the club's needs this season.
28 Jul 2026 11:24:52
Those in the know what's actually happening.
I said about 2 months ago there was a verbal agreement and it's still in place. Once again people are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5
28 Jul 2026 12:13:17
I understand loans with options for fringe players, but we can't let one of our biggest assets leave in that way.
28 Jul 2026 12:17:16
There's others on here have said for a while now that he knows and has known for a while where he is going. AR32, sorry mate, but you also told us 3 weeks ago that Bajrami had made a verbal agreement with an Italian team at the start of the summer, and that they'd now finalised the deal, so he'd be off. It didn't happen. Then you told us the exact same thing last week and he's still here (even played the other day).
If he'd put pen to paper he'd be away. 🤷 If I remember correctly, you also told us a few weeks ago that Diomande had agreed a move to a French team, and he'd be away also. That hasn't happened either. You've posted a lot of stuff over the last couple of months while also stating yourself and people you know work with/manage our players, but nothing has come to fruition regarding anything you've posted.
28 Jul 2026 12:00:16
If a verbal agreement in place why hasn't it happened yet WATP?
28 Jul 2026 12:30:44
I don't know a Greek club that could afford Raskin. Olympiakos would be a sideways step. Panathanikos would be a step back. Maybe they're in the Champions League, idk. 🤷♂️ Even if I was foreign and not a Rangers fan, I wouldn't leave Rangers for either. Raskin, of course, could see it differently.
The Turkish clubs definitely could, but Basiktas have stalled in their bid to get Salah over wage demands.
I like him as a player, but we've got a season to prepare for, and for that reason alone, I hope he finds a suitable club soon.
Signing a CB is needed, but we need balance, creativity, pace, power, and imagination.
That's why on Friday I think we will edge it 1-0, but it will be from a corner or penalty, lol.
28 Jul 2026 13:08:57
I have heard that the teams keeping an eye on Raskin and might start a bidding war for him if one team has an official bid accepted.
AS Roma
Bologna
Aston Villa
Villarreal
Manchester United
But, we will have to wait and see. I don't think we will see anything till towards the end of August.

I like the banter between the fans on this page and the differing opinions, and also the input from the 2 or 3 reliable posters who do have good insight, not just to our great club, but also the process of scouting and transfers in general.
I'm relaxed, I think we have the right owners, who care about Rangers and also a manager who will give everything for the cause.
I long for the day when it's a matter of 4 out and 4 in - with the odd marquee signing, but this year has again been about mass change. Hoping it works rather than expecting as lots of new jigsaw pieces to fit in and likely as few pieces missing - would be great to get a couple that know how to get 'in the box' as soon as possible. 😜
Anyway - my tuppence-worth - wishing all on here the very best for the new season.

Bearsbear, Great post mate. Your chirpiness has made me realise that I may have awoken in a bit of a mood this morning and have unleashed my frustrations on here, for that I apologise. 🫣 No more negativity from myself today. Cheers mate. 👍

Raskin is a goner.
29 Jul 2026 08:55:48
The Man United stuff is just agent-driven bs. They've signed Tonali and Tielemans, no room for Raskin in there. Not to pump up our own player on this, but I don't get the sense in them picking Tielemans over Raskin when Tielemans cost them £35m.
