I am hearing that even know the deals have been agreed for Rohl to leave and MacInnes to come in is the Rohl is wanting to take his back room team with him so is agreeing comp for them and Derek is wanting to bring his Hearts backroom team with him. Also hearing that MacInnes wants Steven Naismith as part of his team as well.

16 Jun 2026 12:43:18
Quashing the Naismith nonsense right here.

Not happening.
They tried it last year when Martin came in, and the reaction said it all.

Non starter. Not welcome.

16 Jun 2026 12:58:28
Whats the story, you can't quash facts. ???

16 Jun 2026 13:01:10
Why would fans decide on a decision the club will make. Surely it is about us being the best we can be.

16 Jun 2026 13:08:02
Naismith must look back at that press conference with pure regret. We were all hurting at that moment and he stuck the knife in!! #Crazy

16 Jun 2026 13:12:41
Fans need to get over it. We've all said things we regret.

16 Jun 2026 13:17:44
Steven Naismith has openly said he was offered a role under Russell Martin and did not think it was the right move for him at that time. But he has done well as Scotland assistant, so I would have no issues with it.

16 Jun 2026 13:25:12
If Naismith comes back, we will get a roasting in the media, given his comments about us in the past. It's a no for me, surly Mcann/Dodds could offer just as good in that role.

16 Jun 2026 13:37:26
McInnes, Steven Smith, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds for me.

But cannot see Neil n Doddsy leav Killie doing a good wee job there.

16 Jun 2026 13:39:01
TheBluebear, McCann isn't leaving his role as manager of Killie, where he's done very well, to be part of a background team. Let's be honest here.

16 Jun 2026 13:39:48
Couldn't care if Naismith came back, he spat out a sentence getting at the owners of the club without thinking the aftermath. But let's be honest, what the fans think does matter at this club.

16 Jun 2026 13:51:51
You can judge someone's IQ by how they react to speaking about Naismith. It's tiring. Grow up.

16 Jun 2026 13:52:47
I think we need to move on. Naismith is a very good coach and if DM thinks that will help him do his job and improve us then I'm fine with that.

16 Jun 2026 13:52:53
Hated him since that presser. Absolutely no need for it. A big no from me!

16 Jun 2026 14:07:49
McCann isn't leaving Killie manager slot to come to Rangers as an asst.

16 Jun 2026 14:10:29
Would prefer Neil to come in, but if Del wants Naismith then I will back the manager on his choice.

16 Jun 2026 14:44:23
If McInnes thinks Naismith can help us be successful then I've no problem. Fans who are harking back to something that happened 14 years ago (yes, 14 years ago) need to grow up. On another note, and in the real world, McCann isn't leaving Killie where he's no.1 and doing well to come and be part of a coaching team.

16 Jun 2026 15:43:35
McInnes will decide. No one else.

16 Jun 2026 16:15:15
Pleased to see others thinking as I do on Naismith.
If McInnes wants him, then I'd have zero issues. People living in the past about a press conference need to let it go, genuinely.

16 Jun 2026 17:07:37
Couldn't care less who comes in.
The best person for the job.

16 Jun 2026 17:26:48
The only thing that matters is putting a winning team on the park. If Derek thinks Steven Naismith can help do that - it's fine by me.

16 Jun 2026 17:46:49
Put yourselves in Naismith's shoes. I'm certain nobody with half a brain would have said what he and Whittaker did at that press conference. The rest of the players that wanted to leave (and you couldn't have blamed them) did so with class, especially players like Carlos Bocanegra and Stephen Davis, who also made sure Southampton paid us a fee for his services.

No way on this Earth that I would have done what these two did, and I know that for a fact. It really is a case of common decency taking over.

16 Jun 2026 18:08:02
Seeker, No-one truly knows how they would react, especially if they have their lawyer and agent telling them to say things a certain way to protect their legal rights. So, like when Walter used the phrase new Rangers, he was meaning it specifically in the context of a legal transition rather than an assertion of a newly founded institution.

I am fortunate (unfortunate?) to have made mistakes in my life and managed to learn from them, so who am I to cast the first stone. It seems he has done the same.

16 Jun 2026 18:35:33
We, as a club and as a fan base, should not be offering Naismith money under any circumstances!

I would rather have Tony Doherty (who openly hates Rangers) in the dugout - and that's saying something.

16 Jun 2026 19:28:09
I'm completely grown up and don't want that wee rat Nayshame anywhere near the club in any capacity. We may have to move on but we should never forget the actions of some people in our darkest hour of modern times. I'm sure McInnes can find another coach to work with who is equally good, he has never worked with him in the past so there is no reason to cause an uproar by doing it now There are enough people dubious about McInnes without making things even worse for himself.

Never Forgive, Never Forget!

16 Jun 2026 20:41:28
Naismith would be a stupid and divisive signing. It's not like he has some brilliant track record. Many of us will never forgive him (or Whittaker). Yes we all make mistakes. Grown ups live with them.
