With all the excitement of the new manager. We've not seen much regarding player transfers. With the window open today. Anyone any juicy information?

Cheers troops.

Just seen Leverkusen are sniffing about Fernandez.

15 Jun 2026 20:05:58
And Dortmund.

15 Jun 2026 20:38:30
£30 million please or gtf.

15 Jun 2026 21:51:46
30m. My goodness, that would be some deal. Anything over 18m would be brilliant business.

15 Jun 2026 22:01:02
Pretty sure we owe Peterborough a good portion of the profit also.

15 Jun 2026 22:11:32
Hopefully Del comes in and improves him. Positives, last season he's great attacking at corners and good in the air in general. Negatives, holds on to the ball far too long and kills any momentum we have by slowing the game down.

15 Jun 2026 23:12:29
Beef allegedly 20%.

16 Jun 2026 05:20:41
Anything that leaves us close to 18m after payoffs is a good deal.
Q. Can we afford not to sell?

16 Jun 2026 06:34:44
Several top clubs are interested in Fernandez for obvious reasons.
Also our most valuable player right now at 18mill euros.
Had a very good season considering his strongest position is Rcb not Lcb, where we mainly played him. Imagine Fernandez Rcb and Bassey Lcb, what a pairing that would be, but we prefer to sell our best Cbs as soon as they are worth good money.

Clubs currently rumoured to be interested in Fernandez.

Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Ajax, Everton, West Ham, Arsenal, Feyenoord, Chelsea, Club Brugge.

Leverkusen and Dortmund are current front runners to secure his signature. Chermiti also has several top clubs interested in signing him. Could be another window of cashing in on our best players and winning nothing, then wondering why. Hardly rocket science.
Sell your best - gift your cups to the rest.
Some player trading model that.

16 Jun 2026 07:03:30
Laudruphagi, we need to, in order to stay afloat. Celtic continuously sell their top players for huge sums every season, and they're cleaning up every season.

16 Jun 2026 08:12:01
Another window of cashing in? We haven't been cashing in at all, Laudrup, apart from Bassey. All our players leave for practically nothing or out of contract, while Celtic are selling their best while winning everything.

16 Jun 2026 08:19:56
I would take the money on Fernandez if a good fee comes in. I think he is overvalued right now, and has made quite a few mistakes.

That said, we have a huge rebuild in defence and may need to keep him for continuity (unless that huge offer comes in).

16 Jun 2026 08:29:34
If we get 20+m, then you move on and reinvest in several positions. We can't knock that back.

16 Jun 2026 09:29:23
Laudrup were in the SPL. We cannot afford to turn down good offers for promising players, that's the definition of the model. We are not the club we used to be. We are a selling club now, & with the crazy transfers in football now, we've got to take what we can.

Also, we can't really deny these players the chance to progress or play in the top leagues. If we are seen as doing that, promising young lads wobt come near us if that chance doesn't exist.

16 Jun 2026 11:58:58
We don't have a trading model unless we trade. Our problem has been not selling when the money is there for a player, thinking that we will get even more further down the line.

If we keep trading and recruiting well, the overall quality of the squad also increases.

We need to be sustainable, which means selling when there is good profit, not waiting for something that may or may not happen.

Also I firmly believe that there is a ceiling for what teams will pay for Scottish based players.

16 Jun 2026 12:32:05
Kaiser79, Aribo, Kamara, Sakala, Patterson, we made millions of profits on them, was wasted, but we still brought lots in.

16 Jun 2026 13:19:55
Record reporting, we want £25m minimum for Fernandez. Would like to keep him, but that's a lot of money that we can reinvest on 3 or 4 new players.
