Tariq Lamptey we are meant to be letting him train with us with potential to a 1 year rolling contract could it be true I have no idea ?

Made of Weetabix is he not, promising few yr ago then major injuries last 18 months or so.
18 May 2026 07:47:57
How is he meant to train with us when the season is over and pre season won't start for about 6 weeks? ?
18 May 2026 07:57:33
I seriously hope not. He's injured constantly. If true we have learned 0 about signing crocked players.

Yeah this boy isn't designed for the demand of Scottish football or a team wanting to win the title, (not sure if that's us or not, let's see if we do indeed sign Kenny McClean).

He is not training with anyone, just obliterated his ACL.

The manager and players just left to go on their summer holidays. Train with who?
18 May 2026 09:14:35
He's training with Jordan Rossiter. They're both 10 days away from full fitness.

Since 2020 he's had 3 knee injuries, 2 hamstring injuries, a calf injury, an ankle injury, multiple muscle injuries and the ACL! He's just back from the ACL, and Fiorentina have decided to terminate his contract after only a year. Tells you everything you need to know. Shame really, as he had great promise as a youngster, fastest player in the EPL at one point.

We are pretty fortunate that Glasgow has 2 of the top orthopaedic surgeons in the world.
I'm not sure of the exact nature of Lamptey's injury. However, I would hazard a guess that he's requested permission to use our facilities over the close season whilst consulting with one of these specialists.
It's pretty common practice and an easy way for the club to build relationships with players and agents.

Ehl, serious ACL injury last September. Been back in the gym for the past few weeks.

Bluedreamer, aye knowing us it wouldn't surprise me. ?
18 May 2026 15:39:16
Not back to Crocks United - Please. ???

Saw a lot of this lad a few years back and looked a cracking full back. I know he has had a lot of injuries, but if he didn't have the injuries, he would be way out of our price range.
For me, it's a win win letting him train with us. If successful, we sign on a year contract with option of further 2 years. If he can keep fit, we get a cracking player; if not, it's a year's contract.
