After speaking with colleagues it would appear the tweets circulating at this moment in time have a large element of truth.
Apparent dismissal of the rumour is purely a dismissal to speak to media.
All the chat here is that he looks to be preferring the option of Rangers.

Aphe, but how does he manage to sign outside the transfer window. or is there just an agreement for signing in the summer; not a contract (or is it) but a gentleman's agreement.
I watched some of Rohl's press conference and he seemed to say (again I may be wrong) that we had made some agreements for the summer, or long term.

You can do a deal at any time, but the player cannot officially join until the opening of a window. It would be good to get a confirmation of a deal though, so we don't worry about this until summer, thinking, do we have him or not?

Transfer windows should be renamed player registration windows.

I don't agree, Aphelion.
You can negotiate, sign pre-contracts, but the ownership part is the registration. The player registration can not pass to another club outside of the transfer window.

You can announce the signing any time. He just can't be registered till the summer now. Liverpool have signed a CH for the summer. He isn't away back to the French club on loan. He is just signing in the summer.

Again, I can sign a legally binding agreement to take over the registration of a player on a specific date.
Ownership by law transfers to me immediately.
Take Cardiff and Sala. The player was never registered as a Cardiff player.

Aphelion, on a different note, I just watched Transfer 360 and the story surrounding John Obi Mikel's "transfer" to Chelsea/Man United back in the 2000s, and the former Lyn Oslo chief, Morgan Andersen.
Did you ever have any dealings with him?

Aph, sometimes life gets busy, and we can't get on here as often. Cheers for confirming the Dahl deal again. You've been paying a lot of attention as its developed, and kept us updated regularly. Besiktas were silly to low ball Tromso with 5m, lmfao. Now he is ours :)
