The only positive thing I can take right now is we have 4 strikers we need a Defoe to come in and work with them whilst I don't know much about the German lad I want a coach in new to work with them 2 of them have time to develop the other ones are on the knifes edge.

We need to put Raskin in a more attacking role and have our wingers making themselves available and makind false runs etc

03 Feb 2026 02:54:21
Raskin stats both at Rangers and for Belgium show he's more effective as a CDM same as he was in belgium, better utilised to break up opposition play and passing out to attacking players, has never shown any statistical consistency in an advanced position at any point in his career to date, Raskin, Barron, Chukwuani work best in Rohl's favourite 4231 where he plays 2 CDMs that cover defensive duties out of possesion and pivot into CMs in attack in possession.
Diomande and Aasgaard are better options in the advanced midfield position, as demostrated in recent matches, though i reckon Raskin, Diomande, Barron and Aasgaard will all be sold if we get decent offers in the summer and replaced with bigger stronger players like Chukwuani and Dahl as Rohl makes his stamp on the team during the huge summer restructure, be easier for the team to break the low block teams usually play against us, bigger stronger talents can over power and break the low block lines and punish a team playing that tactic, most of the current team struggle against that, hence Danny bringing in big strong talented lads.

Howwazthat, Danilo also away on loan to NEC Nijmegen mate ?I wish Danilo well ?.

03 Feb 2026 05:13:46
Danilo will be away before end of the day so it will only b 3 strikers.

Honestly think that's a huge out lay on a project like Naderi. Celtic have spent £0 in the window and got a bad feeling the have had a better window than us. Throwing money at things just doesn't always work.

03 Feb 2026 07:22:50
You also forgot the 2mill loan fee for Skov Olsen.

03 Feb 2026 07:22:55
They were that desperate they decided to take a guy they were going to buy and get him on loan because he's got problems with his heart.

03 Feb 2026 07:41:46
Paul. Really? They signed 5 players who have played a combined total of 16 starts between them all. Like I swear half the people on here have a soft spot for them and despise everything about us.

03 Feb 2026 08:08:42
Paul, to my knowledge loan players are not free! And in terms of projects Naderi has 13 goals in last 42 games for perspective Celtic new striker has 2 in last 53.
Naderi also player 50+ times for Borussia Monchengladbach 2, so I suspect he has a good grounding.

And as we all know games are not played on paper, so let's at least give our signings a chance . We added 2 x U-21 (including a captain) and a seasoned international in World Cup year not too shabby.

03 Feb 2026 09:06:16
Paul86, Tim's are raging as they've spent fk all!

A better window on loan players with a zero spend ??????.

03 Feb 2026 09:09:26
No way have the east enders had a better window than us. They next few weeks will prove the point as we close in on the title.

03 Feb 2026 09:36:23
Paul how have Celtic had a better window ? there fans are losing the plot on X.

03 Feb 2026 09:38:11
Paul, Celtic weren't going to invest in permanent signings this window as they don't know who the manager is going to be next season. O'Neill's signings may not suit the new manager's system. This left them scraping about in the bargain bins of Europe looking for loans, and players clubs want to offload. Granted the RB and CF brought in earlier, at first glance may look ok, but look at the quality of the other three deadline day signings - a winger that failed their medical who is now signed on loan 0 goals and 0 assists this season, a CF who scored 2 goals in 18 games this season, and a CB who has had three senior appearances in his career - all cup games.

Rangers have invested in young, physical players with quality and stats to match (Olsen being the exception but hoping quality shines through and the deal becomes permanent). I don't think Celtic's window comes anywhere near to the successful window Ranger's have had. Onward and upward.

03 Feb 2026 09:40:25
How anyone can come on here and state Ceptic had a better window than us is beyond me. The guys they've LOANED in have hardly played, not just this season but last also. It was pure desperation from them scrambling about at the end of the window to get whoever they could?. Not one of them will improve that team.

03 Feb 2026 09:44:00
CalB, agreed! We shouldn't even be talking about them! Yet there's a few on here that are constantly comparing us and bring them out on top! It's crazy?.

03 Feb 2026 11:21:37
Paul mate, Naderi is no project player, with his qualities i expect him to 1st choice CF. Time someone showed Chermiti and Miovski where the back of the net is, they will have no option but lift their game once Naderi starts banging then in, he has more striker qualities than the other 2 combined.

i expect Ryan to be our top scorer by end of season and nothing less, he is ready to go and raring for his 1st chance - 'Danny - Unleash The Kraken!'

We just had an excellent window and have invested in quality young talents on the rise in their respective countries.

03 Feb 2026 12:28:48
Time will tell about who had the better window but Adamus recent record is worse than Archers and we were all bemoaning the possibility of signing him.
I'm not slagging off loan signings, we have a fair few, but its interesting that there were no big money signings by Celtic in an effort to win the title, 5 new players all loans and all fairly unknown.

They obviously don't want to buy players that a new manager might not want in the summer or their board still think they have enough to win the title without spending any of their money.
