Martel has played virtually every minute for Koln this season and has been linked with Fulham and Brighton. Would be a very positive signing but can't see it myself and if it was this far down the road I am sure would have heard something by now from reputable sources.

I think Eric Martel would be an outstanding signing for us. He's the kind of player who can put his foot on the ball and dictate the play. he's the kind of player you need for a game like last night, he can take possesion of the ball and spray passes about to aleviate pressure when we're under the cosh.
Fingers crossed we can secure him for this title charge.

Hope we get a goal scorer in as I don't see us winning the league without. I know that defensively we shot ourselves in the foot last night but look so short of firepower. I'm hopeful that ASO will add to our threat when he is up to speed but need someone that he can assist. It could be small margins that lift the title. We have a good bow and arrow for the hunt, just need a good marksman.

I don't get the "we've got plenty of midfielders" argument, we had to play Nico and Dio for the full 90 minutes last night in a game we would like to have managed their minutes. We have Chukwuani as our only current option. Who knows when Barron will be fit enough to play or even Rice for that matter.
Aasgaard and Bajrami are not that type of midfielder and never will be. We do need one in if we can and as it could be the difference between winning the league and not, if it means paying some money now, then we should do it. If money is tight sell Antman and keep Curtis as Skov Olsens back up.
