Only that as expected, there is virtually no difference between RMs methods and PCs.

Same methods. PC will feal aggrieved he couldn't hang on till the regime change and an injection of talent. Methods may be similar but RM is a different personality, a rated man manager so we may be in a winner.

Hopefully he won't be as stubborn as PC I think that was a large part of his downfall, he left it too long and until we were too far gone to change players etc. he took too long to get a grip of Celtic matches although tbf to him we got shafted in a few games by officials and var not much went in his favour luck wise.
RM hasn't got an excuse he has seen it all unfold and will know what needs to change for our league and who needs changed so if he continues on the same path that doesn't work then he will fail.
I think RM will actually fair well as he's got a much better structure behind him something no one has had at our club for a while. Other managers were having to involve themselves in too much and maybe not enough on the pitch.

Ach no EHL I've been trying to be more positive and then u go an say that. Hope it's not more let's keep repeating what doesn't work and hope for different result. And hope don't have to listen to endless excuses and contradictory statements. Couldn't bear listening to PC as time went on.

Clement starting to get some love on here all of sudden. In my opinion, clement was the wrong man at the wrong time. His tactics were never suited to work for a team like Rangers against the rest of the spfl. If you don't mind me asking, what makes Martins setup similar to clements?
I see nothing from their management history to suggest their styles are remotely similar.

RM and PC's approach, system and tactics are virtually identical.
I would say that tactically PCs team were a little better, but RM and his team look to be a little stronger on the man management side.
What will make the difference?
Three issues that prevented PC implementing his system fully - lack of width on the left, lack of a natural number 6 and lack of a striker capable of playing in the system.
If RM can get the resources to strengthen on the left, and in the six it'll make a huge difference.
Also the sale of Dessers will be a pivotal moment.
Add to that the additional investment in squad depth and technology.
For me, we have a winning formula.

Maybe he meant this but ehl said his methods i assume to do with things like fitness and training as RM said he'd have the players running hard in preseason and this is something PC said also for example. I'm not sure what the tactics will be when but i doubt they will be an exact carbon copy of PC if that's what people are worried about and i don't think that's what ehl meant.

Pc was well and truly shafted by the old board, took over from beale and got a tune from the players, winning a cup final and if i remember an unbeaten run, i was dissapointed it didn't work out for him but it was clear he had completely lost the dressing room and wasn't backed by the board, same with koppen, the man was expected to make gold out of lead. If martin implements the same style with 3 or 4 good signings to match it and his players are willing to fight for him it will stand us in good stead moving forward.

People can moan and groan but I'll take EhLs word for it clearly a man in the know and with a greater understanding than most of us. I was under the impression martins man management wasn't too good due to him being a my way or the high way type coach at previous clubs. His style is very similar to pcs if you really deep dive into his Southampton time.

Kaiser, as both PC and NK had spent a lot of time implementing processes and systems across the club that aligned to a particular vision.
So there is now a pretty seamless integration for RM and his team.

I must say this makes sense in a lot of ways.
having an identity and style of play means that no matter who is manager or what players come and go should be easier to transition and replace like for like without upsetting the full system or way of playing.
recently with different styles of managers we have had full out squad changes and costing us millions due a new manager wanting players to suit his ways which are drastically different to the previous one, and then being unable to move on some of the players that are not good enough for the system as such.

If its something that's worked then yes EHL keep the model like Brighton idea. But our model has failed badly so don't see the logic in sacking someone after a short time just to do the exact same thing. ?. Just need to wait and see.

Would loved to have seen Clement working with a full roster of players.
Sounds like Martin will have us highly organised and with a very deliberate way of playing which will be good to get back to after Barry.

Main issue PC wasn't success duo is because we replaced players that were "not good enough" with players that were worse, albeit on lower salaries.
Recruitment on 1st team ready players was very poor.
RM has the benefit that a lot of the prospects like Jefte, Dio, Barron, Iga and even Cortez have been at the club at least a year now. They have developed and are that bit better, and more prepared what what's to come. That said we still need more quality all over the pitch.
Looking forward to seeing how that materialises over the coming weeks.
