Last night proved one thing for me. We still have an inability to unlock tight defences as the dominant team.
Fernandez and Neil far too slow and cannot seem to adapt mid game.
Gassama far too one dimensional.
We do not have a playmaking 10 so that position is completely innefective.
I think it was correct to change it up a little as we need to have more than one effective formula.
I have put a mock team and set up I would like to see in the debates section.
McInnes has done many things correct but last night was identical to the start of the season that seen us put out of Europe and start the league campaign slow.
I personally would be looking to offload Bojan Miovski at the earliest opportunity.
It has not worked out and he offers very little.
I honestly would recommend Daniel Karlsbakk as his replacement.
I think he has all the attributes needed to play alongside the other forwards as well as lead the line with his back to goal.
Friends have a good day and let's hope Hearts can help us lessen the gap.

Agree NATO, also thought Fernandez destabilised the whole defensive unit and created a nervousness throughout the team. Naderi needs a strike partner to play off and Gassama needs to remember he had 10 teammates he is allowed to pass the ball to.

Sorry mate but the change up was wrong imo, I think the scoreline tells you that, we were dreadful in that first half, could tell they just weren't used to playing that way. One of our biggest threats Naderi was a shadow of himself playing up there alone.
This nonsense of not any Celtic players gets in our squad has been spoken off far to early again, just like the last 5/6 seasons, same ones saying it season after season.
A bit of pressure comes our way to go top, we blow it as always, that lot go out and absolutely blitz hearts, they know exactly how to beat the lesser teams.

We don't need fancy football. We need to move it faster, keep getting the ball in the box, get bodies in the box and let opposition defenders make mistakes. We don't score enough easy goals or goals from set pieces. Oh. and run for 90+ minutes in every game. Starting from minute one. Easy. Stop thinking we are miles better than everyone else but use the fact we are a little bit better than everyone else then match them in concentration and work rate.

Tbh last night was on McInnes. We played the straight ball to nadiri that doesn't work v hardier defences. I personally think Nadiri needs played against teams that play out through their defense.

NATO my dear friend, in the second half we unblocked their defence several times and the Dundee keeper had some very good saves in the game i seen anyway 🤔It was for me the wrong subs made by McInnes and the terrible dan neil mistake that cost us the 3 points because in that second half we had more than enough chances to have put the game to bed 🤔🇬🇧.

Cannot comment on Mivoski as he's never really had a run of games albeit he hasn't look great when he's played. Fernandez is a bomb scare- it seems that he could command a decent transfer fee then take it in January.
Dan Neill looks a very average player to me, nothing near the quality of Raskin. We're a long way from being a good team- it's no good beating Celtic if we struggle to beat the others.

Our pressing for me was the main issue in first half with Kim in particular but also wide players not high enough to put them under pressure. On the flip side I think Dundee got their pressing spot on.

NATO I think the biggest culprit slowing things down is Pandur. He stands with the ball until it's too late to pass it to anyone then humps it up the park for it to come straight back.
Hopefully Bouanani can provide a danger on the right and Minsu-Kim can provide a link up with both.

Sir Walter I like Pandur as a goalkeeper but when his job is to integrate possession then he's slows it down too much for me.
He did the same last night and just launched it when he could have continued the momentum by passing it quicker.

There is barely anyone bar about 14 players getting anywhere near enough regular football. Its going to end up blowing up in our face when we get more injuries and people come in from the cold not match fit.
I think the next match would be a good time to put Gassama on the bench.
At least bounanani can cross and shoot Gassama can do neither. Him & kim attacking from the sides would be good for me and bring Kelsy back in.
Id like to see Godfrey get some minutes for Fernandez too. Wont be long before a lot of the squad are unhappy imo.

My tuppence , it could easily have been 2-6 at least , many times we were unlucky and Dundee never stopped working but it was bad fortune that beat us imo , and Pandur is a fantastic signing.

Look at good teams they move ball quickly , but we just pass about at back, then launch ball forward or get caught out.

Having said that I'm of the belief that we really need to use the selling high plan well this year, I would like to see Fernandez and Makanya sold at premium price, they are far from infallible and now is the time to offload and replace with one or two guys who understand the need for winning, and find the next Makanya for next season, we mustn't allow anything to distract from the model, while also keeping our team ready and willing, both were poor imho last night and I worry about winter nights ahead but maybe they will surprise us, whatever we need to start bringing in serious cash soon imo.

If pandur is holding the ball then the players. In front of him ain't moving like they should be, he's looking for a break from someone, players usually decide what a keeper's going to do with the ball, our midfield haven't been great on movement in a long time, I certainly wouldn't be blaming the keeper.

It is correct for the reasons i have stated on multiple posts.
We need to have more than one successful format to win the league.
We also need to better utilize the squad during rotation so we are not overly reliant on the same 11-14 players each and every match.
Football is a squad game and we need around 20 match sharp players to carry us throughout the season.

We scored two goals away from home, which should have been enough for 3 points.
Our set up and system was actually okay, as it showed when the team applied it properly in phases of the game.
Unfortunately defensively we were really poor and gifted them two goals through basic errors.

Disagree on this EHL nadiri was the wrong option. Min su Kim whole first half too far away from Nadiri 2nd half sorted it. Didn't flood the box at the right times.
