I think the club need to clear up the Raskin situation.

He is still a Rangers player and it looks increasingly likely will still be one in the coming weeks barring a silly offer that suits all parties.

What I would like to know is, have the club offered him a new deal? An extension plus release clause? Are we actively looking to sell to balance the books? After the Europe fiasco?

Do all parties no where they stand?

Love him or loathe him Raskin has a lot of influence over our squad and is loved by the club. Some may even think that we should be building the team around him?

And if the window closes with no real concrete bids, where does that leave the club? A player with so much influence could go one or two ways. Not to mention how the situation will look in January if he doesn't extend his contract. He has prior of running down his contract, he did it and got his move to us resulting in him training with reserves and frozen out by the Belgian club.

Just feel in needs some clarification. So we can knuckle down and pick a competive team ideally with or without Raskin.

My one problem now is can we afford to sell now? 2 injuries at CM and we could be in bother. Especially since Barron is now gone.

Also announce Kelsy please 🙏

Clubs can't come out and explain the situation because when that situation changes. As things often do in football, the fans will kick aff.

All I'm asking is what most supporters want to know.

Tell us, is he staying or going? Have we done everything possible to keep our best player?

And is there a plan in place? To offer a contract or sign a replacement?

All I'm looking for is clarification on our most sellable asset. What I am worried about is what Baxter says, an unhappy Raskin. Or selling without adequate replacement.

The uncertainty is detrimental, imo. I don't suggest having conversations in public, but I think you know that, Angus. Cheers for your reply anyways.

Makes zero sense for the club to do that. It's between Raskin and the club.

Sorry, do you mean the club should come out and explain what the situation is? Surely it's obvious he is our player until someone buys him or he is out of contract.

They aren't going to come out and say we will offer him a new deal and hopefully he signs it. Or say he is going to be told to leave in January if someone makes a bid.

Hope he stays. If as it seems there has been no serious concrete interest, the cm should have been built around him and should never have been left behind. He's miles ahead of our other mids.

So they come out and tell us everything and risk reducing any price we could get for him if that story isn't positive. Is that your suggestion?

I hope we don't have an unhappy Raskin.

Cool, well I disagree. You're making out it would be giving away secret intel. 🤣

All I ask is something like this "Nico has been offered a good deal to stay. We all love Nico, but he sees his future elsewhere."

Done. Cool, we know, his team mates know, and now clubs, if they didn't already know that he's available for transfer. That's no big deal imo, and yes the finer details would be kept between club and player.

It happens at other clubs and in many transfers.
