We are all annoyed with our poor start to the season but we need to realise this is a complete rebuild. We have a squad of players who havnt played with each other before and it will take several games for them to gel. I believe they will come good. It's just been frustrating to watch so far.

That's ridiculous, Robbie. The players should come in; some are only young foreign boys that have to adapt not only to a new team but to a new culture and new country, and hit the ground running from day 1. Forget the fact that a lot of players are coming in, and a lot of players are looking to leave. The manager is new and doesn't know the players' strengths and weaknesses.
Players had a staggered return from the World Cup. The players don't even know each other and are trying to get used to different systems. The manager doesn't know players he can trust and what their best position is until he sees them in competitive games. Forget all that, the players and manager are all useless and we should rip up and start again. 🙄

I form part of my opinion usually around international break, then around January, then judge around March.

We have only played 4 competitive games, and, although we have been poor in them, a decent win may kick this season off and see us progress. C'mon the Gers.

Isn't that most teams at the start of the season? Why should we be any different? Team should at the very least be scoring goals in open play by now.

Traditionally we are slow starters. And that remains. We have been the best team and been unlucky hitting woodwork. It will gel, but it needs to gel now! What worries me is the other side scored 4 again yesterday. Scored at will. A United side that we struggled against. So I have concerns. It's always hard work for us.

Celtic create multiple chances in 90mins - many are missed but good percentage scored.
We create very little, and herein lies the major problem. 🤔 Then onus lies on forwards to score the one or two chances they get - when this doesn't happen, mayhem then ensues. Easy to see but it seems very hard for us to fix. 🤔 👀

United hit the woodwork 5 times, that second goal shouldn't have stood, and United should have had a penalty. All match defining moments.

Kenny was Celtic Assistant Referee, sorry, I mean VAR working its full potential. I never watch those horrible bar stewards, so can never comment on their games.

Didn't see it, Kenny, but good point taken.

Dundee United had more attempts v them than against us. United scored from a sclaffed cross that came off someone's toenal. United could easily have been 2 up before they scored. Then the 2nd would have been disallowed had it been any other team. They get the ball forward quickly, creating more clear cut chances, and shoot early. Nygren is in the game as often as Aasgaard, but he is always in more space. They attack in numbers and at pace.
Defensively they are on a par with ourselves and have ridden their luck in games so far. But if we want to complete, we need to move the ball forward more quickly, get more bodies in the box, cross and shoot earlier. I also watched goals from the Championship yesterday. Lots of goals scored from crosses. All from either right foot on right wing or left foot on left wing. Also a more common way of scoring at the World Cup. Something to think about.

Dundee United had a lot of new players playing against us and they did ok. The difference was work rate and attitude. They have lost their next two games 4-0 (one of which was to Hearts, who have had to build new team too) which shows how poor we were new team or not.

Tunekti is right footed and plays on left, and Duran is left footed and plays on right. So they set up exactly the same as we do.

True, Angus, but their headed goals and goals from crosses have come from right foot on right and left foot on left. They are cutting inside and shooting early though - keeping the ball low for deflections and rebounds. They are also seeking wingers who are more orthodox as well.

It also has to be said, United hit the woodwork 5 times, and had a stonewall penalty not even looked, also there was a strong claim that Hogh handled the ball before Duran scored. Celtic are anything but invincible.
