What we need to do now is go and get sima for left wing.
If possible cerny for right wing.
And we cannot gamble on an mls player for centre forward
We need to sign someone who is proven in Europe
We could always go for Alfredo.
We need players who are going to do it here not projects n gambles

Stevie, Cerny scored the winner the other night, mate.
14 Aug 2026 11:27:09
Mate, these guys are not interested in us, we need to move on.
We are not a good club to move to and play for, players who sign with us deteriorate not improve.
Honestly, we can't convince a young guy from Dundee that coming to Rangers is good for his career how are we going to get guys like this to sign.
We need to wake up and smell the coffee, it's going to be a long way back and Celtic are absolute stick ons for ten in a row, the real question is how many will they get.

Dessers was the top scorer in the Conference League a few years ago. So he's proven in Europe. Maybe we should sign him.
14 Aug 2026 11:34:25
I doubt they would be interested. I would get a few loans with options and be done with it. Another rebuild in Jan and next summer no doubt. No point spending any money with our recruitment team and by the looks of it most don't trust the manager now either. What a mess.
14 Aug 2026 11:41:02
And maybe John Grieg.
14 Aug 2026 11:36:02
We just signing ex players then?
14 Aug 2026 11:46:15
Cerny and Sima would vastly improve this team's attacking ability. It will never happen, but I'd love to see El Buffalo back for a few seasons to cause defences' problems.

I don't think the manager can attract the calibre of player we're demanding. It was always a risk with appointing an SPL-level manager. That's not a criticism of McInnes. It's just the truth of the situation we face.
14 Aug 2026 12:24:49
Where I'm coming from is it's players we know can do the job. Rather than players that may not be able to, we need stability in the team.
Dessers would be best striker at the club if we signed him and so would Morelos.
14 Aug 2026 12:10:59
We had a guy that scored 50+ in two seasons and was deemed not good enough by some of our fans.
14 Aug 2026 12:55:48
The problem is that we slag off our players and want them replaced, in some cases rightly, but then we replace them with guys who are nothing like as good. The latest have been Tav and Butland, but we did the same with Goldson, Barisic, Morelos and Kent (we haven't had someone to carry the ball forward since he left), and more recently Dessers and even Cantwell.
I'm not saying all these guys should have stayed. But their replacements were worse and continuing down that spiral. Don't believe me, pick any one of these guys and look at who have filled their position immediately afterwards and ever since.

Why would they come back to this bonfire? Why would any young player come to finish 2nd/3rd! Why? The last 14/15 years is not lying! We're not the attraction we once were! Today's players couldn't care less about Rangers history, the stadium or any we welcome the chase or days of anxiety quote!
They want a stable club, a chance to win, a decent salary, a good standard of living. They can get that in lots of places outside the 3rd tier SPFL.
Every year, we're rotten the harder it is for us to attract good talent!
We're a cup team! We're close to being just another club in Scotland like Aberdeen, Motherwell, Hibs and Hearts!
Living off past glories! Since 1950 Celtic have won more trophies than Rangers in every decade bar the 80's and 90's.
This maybe isn't a blip! This is maybe what we are! The 80's and 90's might have been the blip! The above is true! In the last seven decades we've played 2nd fiddle in 5 of them. Reality check!
How do you reverse it? Successive Rangers boards have tried and failed!

Iron, we are not close. We are just another team in Scotland these days. I was going to put a post up about it, but that is all it is now for our club.
14 Aug 2026 13:55:01
The definition of insanity for a long time! We need a massive change of thinking.
14 Aug 2026 15:36:35
Iron, I personally think we need to come to terms with the fact modern football has changed.
The landscape has changed.
We're a small club in Euro terms, British terms. And 2nd biggest in Scottish terms, and Hearts are in our tails.
I think we need to link up with an endless club and try and make a programme and environment that can make us compete again.
If we can offer the same as a Strasbourg or a Union St Gallen or a RB family or City Group, I really believe that could get us better players and make us competitive again.
I don't see how else we do it without outside investment and interest.
